This is my favorite of drama of the year so far. The love story is actually pretty great and realistic. FL is so in love. When she initiates those kisses, they're so hot. This is a much better drama than The First Frost. San Yan is a ridiculous ML. Dr. He is much more believable.

Such a lovely love story. So much better than The First Frost.

Although it's all fiction, at some point you start rolling your eyes at San Yan.

HOT TAKE: Sang Yan is one of the most unrealistic and pathetic MLs ever written. I don't find his pinning over Yi Fan cute or romantic. It's quite pitiful. This is NOT a real person. The most frustrating thing is that this story tricked many of us into thinking Sang Yan is a dreamy romantic. In reality, he’s just a sad pathetic man. His whole life, purpose, and sense of self are completely tied up in Yi Fan. This fool hit pause on his entire existence for a woman who ditched him twice without even bothering to give a reason. And I'm supposed to celebrate this as some great love story? Not a chance. The best romance of the this season is The Best Thing.

The ML's acting has single-handedly destroyed this drama for me. What a horrible acting job.

Because this dumb screenwriter wanted some extra angst in the drama. So he sacrificed Yi Fan's character progression for his stupid angst.

It's not extremely realistic. She was already healing and progressing. Having her run away again is just a dumb screenwriter's idea of adding more angst to the drama.

She was already developing the strength. She already did her noble idiocy thing and it made her more miserable. Her running away again was pointless. It added NOTHING to the story. It was added simply to add extra angst to the drama. Nothing more.

Give us a fucking break with your lecturing. It's BAD writing. They only adding this shit for some extra angst. It adds NOTHING to the story. It's dumb. The female lead WAS healing. She was progressing as a character. They destroyed all of that.

There’s no logical reason for her to run away again. She’s already been down that path, and it didn’t help her heal. It made her sadder and lonelier. So she mustered the courage, came back to reclaim what she lost. Throughout the story, we see her growing, learning that she has supportive friends and a boyfriend who will fight for her. But in the end, we were robbed of that beautiful character growth just for some cheap angst. There’s a reason this part wasn’t in the novel—it’s objectively bad writing. It’s just pointless. Anyone defending this crap is supporting bad writing.

BINGO!! She's no longer a child. Through the entire drama we're shown her progression as a character. It was all for nothing. This dumb screenwriter destroyed her character progression for some extra angst and some people here are defending this crap.

Yes, she's selfish and a coward. And San Yang is one of he most unrealistic boyfriend I've seen. No ONE is that patient. Yi Fan has an entire network of friends and a very dependable person in San Yang ready to help her. Yet she chooses to run away, again. The first time she ran it DIDN'T solve any thing. It made her sadder and lonelier. Right when we though she was growing and progressing as a character, she regressed. It's dumb writing.

And I don't think you understand what good writing is. There's a reason this nonsense is NOT in the original novel. It's dumb and contrived.
