They were husband and wife for 17 years, and the three years they show us so far are filled with a lot of fluff. Hopefully, you’re right, and we get to see the problems that keep her this guarded.

Yeah, I’m okay with his revenge, but the issue I have is that he took it against the person who gave him the chance to get that revenge. Even now, he’s trying to undermine her at every turn. It's also interesting that she tells PWX that SRQ would do anything to protect his interests, yet she’s still so sentimental about him. Maybe it’s a director issue because she never outright rejects him; she just remains mute while they play loving background music.

I get that, but the show doesn’t do a good job of showing why they had a complex relationship because they only focused on the issue with QZZ. If all those years made her cold, she should have been cold to both. If she can’t give her heart to PWX, then she shouldn’t have been dangling it to SRQ. It’s very contradictory when she says she doesn’t want to lose herself in a relationship when at the beginning she was clearly okay losing herself to SRQ.

I can accept that she doesn’t believe SRQ is evil yet, but she should realize that it's his true nature. She saved him, and he repaid her kindness with a dagger in her back. I understand him killing her brother who caused the trouble, but killing her revealed who he really is. The same goes for her brother, who became a tyrant. He doesn’t deserve the throne if the loss of his family can turn him into a monster.

I can’t understand her feelings at this moment. She was falling in love with PWX until she misunderstood his actions as betrayal. He has long confessed he was never in love with that girl, yet she still has walls built against him. I know from the novel that they went through a lot more, but the show doesn’t do a good job of portraying these complicated feelings. It's especially confusing since she’s still making eyes at SRQ even though he murdered her. She recalls every conversation and look as some tender moment, which doesn’t make sense. If your lover of 17 years slowly poisoned you, every look and conversation should be met with skepticism, not longing.

Too preachy. I get that he’s a reformed mobster but the lecture every couple episodes is annoying.
