I guess from tomorrow our main cast will film together until the their wrap up dates arrive.
2026/02/10 Actor Dou Xiao has come to have his hair/makeup today! My guess is he will resume his role from his drama “Love in flames of war” since both novels are written by the same author and exist simultaneously. If true, he is linked to ml Yu ChangXuan through the army and ChangXuan’s little sister, Yu QiXuan.

This looks so low budget is it just me from the pictures I'm seeing...anyone know what tier drama this is?
This drama is very realistic and close to historical elements in term of designs so you won’t see any flashy and fancy costumes or makeups. I originally thought the team would go the idol drama route but boy was I wrong.

Yes both novels are written by the same author and they’re connected by one character, Yu ChangXuan’s younger sister, Yu QiXuan. She’s in love with Xiao BeiChen and spends her entire life with the memories of them spending in that small courtyard where they stayed together for a little while. She is the reason for Yu ChangXuan to realize what love can do to someone. I don’t know how they keep or change this storyline in the drama.
Is the novel of this a happy ending cause I cba watching shows that have a sad ending and if it does I hope drama…
The novel is quite tragic with no happy ending. The drama will be largely changed but we just have to wait to see. Ending will be different from the novel but no guarantees it would be a happy one.
Turns out actor Yu YanKai laoshi has wrapped up his filming yesterday (Jan 15th) He played Feng SanLi, a senior member of the Yu army who always opposed Yu ChangXuan.
