TLOA has been listed among anticipated MangoTV’s dramas of 2026. It is tentatively scheduled to air in 2026. If things would go smoothly, we could get it within next year after all 🥹 The drama is expected to wrap up some times in March 2026

After rumors of actresses Yu Fan and Wang LiKun joining the casts confirmed to be true as they were spotted at hair/makeup and filming site, more 🍉 has come out with a more complete additional casts such as Lu XiaoYu, Lu Shan… (said to have already started filming) The 🍉 also revealed (possibly cameo,guest stars) casts: Zhang YunLong, Xu ZhengXi and Zhou JieQiong (KyulKyung) with either Zhang YunLong or Xu ZhengXi playing ML Yu ChangXuan’s brother, Yu MingXuan, and Zhou JieQiong playing Lan Qing, a girl who’s involved with both brothers of Yu Family. (All speculation of roles as based on more completed descriptions of key characters released a few days ago)
Why did they change some part of the plot in the novel. In the script, it says, after Pingjun mom’s death it…
We just have to wait and see because nobody knows how the plot is written 😅. I think the screenwriter chooses making her mom’s death the rift between them over all the tragedies that happen to them in the novel.
The crew has moved to West Lake district in Hangzhou to continue filming. This location reportedly also has the ML’ s home. The first set of today’s filming (11/30/2025) is near Ma Nao Temple.
There are people worrying about Yu ChangXuan being too big of a red flag because of the novel. Since the original novel was written a while ago and had lots of unrealistic and misogynistic plots, the drama would be greatly changed. (Most changes focus on Yu Chang Xuan’s character development, the lead’s relationship and reportedly, the last storyline.
