EARNPETE DESERVED BETTER
Into: This review has no real ties to my whole feelings about lovesick. I just felt that no one else was talking about my sweet earnpete enough in these reviews. So I have taken it upon myself to do such.pt1. Earn
Okay so I watched the og lovesick (s1) and I knew that eran had a crush on noh. BUT in this show they took it up a notch. LIKE he was DOWN BAD for noh. At the start I was like"okay he has a crush on noh, but we all know that end game is phunoh. "So I knew they were going to drag the whole love triangle thag for a while. But it was not I long I thought it would be. It also didn't help that from episodes 10-13 earn like completely disappeared. So let me break it down even more. Eps 1-5 he was actually important to the story. The eps 6- 9 he was still somwaht important. Like I said eps 10-13 he was not even there. Finally the LAST TWO EPISODES. He showed up just so they still pull the love triangle SAME STUFF they were doing back in like ep 6 or something. Now that I broke it down I have to specifically talk about how the writers wrote him. Like in ep 5 he literally saw phun and noh being all cuddling and stuff, but he still liked noh. That is kind of excuseable since it was only ep 5. But then it ep 9 he confesses his feelings towards noh and noh friend zones him. But you know what he dose? He literary sings a WHOLE sad song on how heart broken he was. And he still likes noh. Now that I was a little annoyed by that, but I thought "hey we still have eps 10-15 he can make a comeback." Worng. LIKE I HAVE SAID 2 TIMES HE DISAPPEARED FROM THE SHOW AS A WHOLE. Finally you think maybe JUST mabye they won't recycle the same things they have been doing the past 13 episodes with earns charater. BUT NO. ep 14 &15 guess what? HE STILL LIKES NOH. This one makes the least sense tho. Phunoh are already a thing, plus all of their friends say it SO LOUD that phunoh are dating. So you know what the writers did? They made earn look like a dumb charater still having a crush on noh and noh FOR THE SECOND TIME had to friend zone earn . I know it might have been a contrasting change for his character, but I just feel they dragged out earn liking noh for way too long. Another point about earn and noh's relationship, is that I felt that noh HAD to be there so that earn could be in the scene. What I mean by that is for comparison all the rest of the side character basically had their own story plot lines going for them separate form phunoh (of course they still connected to them by being their friends n stuff but my point is still there. ) Finally I have to talk about how I thought earn felt about Pete . I GENERALLY feel that earn really only liked pete as a friend (that is the harsh truth. ) Because I also feel if they didn't (again) make earn like noh for 4/5 of the show they could've actually grown their relationship. That concludes my thoughts on earn.
pt2. Pete
Now pete. At the start I first of all, didn't know his og character (didn't watch s2) and didn't really care for his character mostly. Then we reached the glorious ep5 (one of the canon earnpete eps). When I watched this ep I was thinking "oh Pete's character is actually a decent side character and he is lowkey eating his scenes with earn. " Especially when he picked up his food thingy off the floor when earn saw phunoh being all close and stuff. I was thinking "oh he cares abt earn a lot and stuff. "Also in this ep we were introduced to Pete's ex bf. Which I have no hate for the ship of the two actors in irl, but in the show it is weird in that context. We were told that his ex has already graduated high school and all, so I'm thinking "why is this grown man hanging around these dam high schoolers." Because if you think about for a sec his character would have been a senior in high school and Pete would have been a junior. That is the only exceptional solution to their whole relationship. Plus I was really hoping that the writers wouldn't take that age gap stuff form the og into the new show, or at least I thought some one would call it out for being a bit suspicious. Which earn lowkey did in the show but it was js a little scene. That was kind of overlooked in ep 15 when the girls were fan girling when Pete and his ex bf were being kinda cutest. So im thinking do you want us to want them together or not (or maybe I js need someone to clarify what was happening there. ) Next I have to talk about the second earnpete cannon ep, ep 9! So basically I already mentioned how earn sang that whole sad song for noh and stuff. BUT I didn't mention how Pete reacted to it. Oh when the camera panned to Pete looking at noh when earn was singing, I was like "oh NOO" I felt soo bad for Pete. But I was saved by the single handly best earnpete moment. When Pete dried earns hair. That scene is unironically the best chemistry I've seen in ANY bl so far.LIKE you don't get how hard pete was looking at earn. Last point,I knew that Pete as a character would have less importance than earn, so I didn't really care that much that he was gone for a major of show. Plus I know that phop in real life is studying to be a doctor so I do understand why he wasn't there every ep. That concludes my thoughts on Pete.
pt3. The marketing of earnpete
Finally in this section I will be talking about mainly the cast listing, mvs, and the special ep, v.s earnpete in the actually show. First of all the cast listing. I know that mabye not a big deal to you but it has importance. Normally you know it goes form main characters to side to finally guest and such. But this show decided to LIE to me. Going form main leads to earnpete. When that doesn't reflects how the show is actually like. Out of the main 4 cps, they are marketed as the 2nd main, but in actuality they are more of the 4th, if we're going off screen time. Next is mvs, they were featured on 2. First the "shake" mv and the OST that kirt sang. Just on its own that they got their own WHOLE MV is js like u would think that they are pretty important. BUT NO. Last but not least I have to talk about the special ep. After I finished the show I thought the special ep was my last hope on actually having some content on earnpete that the show failed to give us. And it did give me sum good scenes, but one thing was on my mind the whole time. All 15 eps of lovesick 2024. EARNPETE DIDN'T EVEN GET TOGETHER! Throughout all the mvs and the special ep. Earnpete sadly didn't get together. On their final scene all we got was Pete asking earn for the Friday necklace thing. I feel that the company was lowkey(KINDA)on sum skynani stuff basically making them a bromance ship in the show. Correct me if I'm wrong .Contrasting the actors are a actuall ship. My last point is that I wish the company was more realistic on how they portraited earnpete in the marketing,so that AT LEAST I wouldn't have been mislead. That is my thoughts on the marketing of earnpete.
Outro: Finally we've reached the end of my review. I really made this because I just finished the main lovesick things a couple weeks ago and I had A LOT of points to make about earnpete. I js hope that someone like minded as me reads this. 👍🏿

OUR UNWRITTEN SEOUL IS THE BEST K DRAMA OF 2025!
This show is actually a masterpiece in every way shape and form. My reasoning for this opinion is down to two major contributors, story and acting. 1st the story is phenomenal being a perfect slice of life show that really brings attention and care to all characters, and story plot lines. 2nd the acting is amazing having especially park bo young as the twins, she can really play the gut wrenching scenes beautifully. As well as everyone else in the cast, they do act their characters in a way that feels so believable bringing them to life. All around I can feel that this show was made with genuine love and a clear vision to make a one of a kind show. Especially today where you can some drama's being half baked and cash grabs, our unwritten seoul differs with having such great quality's to it's name. This show truly means a lot to me, and I would highly recommend. :)Was this review helpful to you?

I LITERALLY LOVE THIS SHOW ?
Okay so, I started this show thinking "I don't want to get my hopes too high, this show might be overrated." Oh boy was I wrong. This show is as good as people say it is. Especially to me this series captures everything I would want in a k drama. Cute love stories, family oriented, high school life, a 90's throwback , coming of age, a fun band, and a happy ending. First I have to give credit to all the actors and writers, the acting was amazing, they all did a fantastic job on portraying the characters, and in my personal opinion this show was well written. Seeing how Ha Eun Gyeol grows in the story, helping his mom and dad have a great future and, his own romance were just a chef's kiss. When we saw his younger self at the start with his loving family, but him having to carry being the only non deaf person in his family, having him feel as if he didn't fit in, was a beautiful starting point for the story to grow on as the show continued. Him traveling to the past and his whole main mission being to make a positive outcome for his entire family is a really good character motivation, and made me as the veiwer want to root for him in the story. I really loved how by the end when he gose to the the new future, the main point is that is family is doing better in the way of having a more successful career's, but still being deaf. I like how that says to the audience that him going back in time was to create a better future for his family by healing old scars, not by undoing them being disabled. Saying something that you don't see a lot in k drams, shinig light on the disabled and CODA community is a unique experience for this show. Then seeing Ha I Chan change throughout the story and, being committed to his band and,Yun Cheong A was a great watch. How in the original timeline his accident that caused him to be deaf happening in the second timeline as well, but he triumphs through it both times, felt like adding a good amount of depth and realness to his charater. In addition Yun Cheong A's story was also very touching, where at the start of the story she couldn't stand up for herself, because she was born deaf and was in a abusive household but, by the end she learned sign language and stood her ground. With the help of Ha Eun Gyeol healing herself with finding a way to express herself through learning sign language and, her family wounds, was all a amazing part of the to watch (she is my favorite character so I'm biased towards her). Now to talk about the romance, I really loved both love stories. Ha Eun Gyeol and On Eun Yu 's relationship was a bickering and love type of story. At the start she had her own plans and it conflicted with his plans, was a interesting thing watching unfold. By the end their emotions for each other bloomed into a teen love. Next Ha I Chan and Yun Cheong A's love was a absolutely adorable high school lovers story. I loved how Ha I Chan learned sign language so he could communicate with Yun Cheong A, and how cutely awkward they were was to die for. Both version's of their older selves were both a cute married couple, which I love to see (out of both couples they are objectivity my favorite). My last section is the band/friendship was heartwarming to watch. I absolutely loved the connection between the bandmates. It felt like a genuine high school friendship, and I enjoyed watching it. One of the best parts of the show, in my opinion is the friendship of Ha Eun Gyeol and Ha I Chan. Thier bound was a charming point of the show. As well as the bands relationship with the two girls was a fun thing to watch. On this topic the friendship of Yun Cheong A and On Eun Yu wassuper sweet. I loved how in genral how Yun Cheong A becameless of a wallflower throughout the show and grew more socially. In a final conclusion I just highly recommended this show if you want a good watch. This is my definition of a modern classic if I've seen one. I loved almost every aspect of this show, this is turly a one of a kind k drama. 🌟
