So many revelations for Wu Shi Guang. I'm so looking forward to him and Wu Wang Yan getting out of the illusion. I wonder if they will end up joining the others at the stone's grave instead of appearing in front of the stone. It might be a Bai Zi ploy to get Shi Guang away from the butterfly demon.
I like that the story focuses so much on Hua Qian (at Ep 19 currently) but after The Double, I can't help but notice that once again Wang Xing Yue's lead character barely shows up. Good thing Jadewind fixed that about his romantic co-lead roles.😂
I cannot wait for Wu Shi Guang to find out what Wu Wang Yan did. I'm ready for the drama, the angst, the betrayal and the bittersweet mending of their broken hearts. Wu Wang Yan has lived so long and "performed" so many lives. I'm very curious how the great freeze came to be.
I feel like the relationship angst right now doesn't really make sense. Sure, Yun Ke is being mean but his arguments are really weak. Simu didn't regret having a mortal mother nor did she think her dad shouldn't have had a mortal love. Duan Xu knows that too. He also knows that he does benefit her by being her spell bearer and clearly making her happy at least on occasion. It feels like it would be more interesting to see him be a sad puppy because he thinks he can't live up to how her mom and dad formed a relationship rather than him just seeing sulky Yun Ke as his rival.
"place greater focus on acting skills and the quality of the work. Costumes, makeup, and props should serve character development and story expression, align with the characters' images, and collectively present a healthy spirit."

Wu Shi Guang is such a bro. Such a dude. Hilarious.
That he is in his own past is so mean! But I'm lapping up all the new knowledge. He isn't a flood dragon either? His birthmark means something to the formless moon? He's protected by white light? I cannot wait for this story to unravel and to see more of his relationships with his weasel bro and Wu Wang Yan.
The drama isn’t really drama-ing for me… Yes, the chemistry is great, and the visual effects are better than…
I don't think being without five senses is supposed to be taken that literally. It is just the easiest way to put it. The drama depicts her sight without color, but we know she can't see hues either thanks to the conversations. It's inconsistent because a human can't perceive the world without five senses, whereas Simu's five senses are replaced by one spirit sense. Because she was born a spirit, she doesn't know what exactly she is missing until the exchanges with Duan Xu
I'm not a hater so pls respect my opinion for now if y'all may 🫶 (I'm only on ep 3 rn)I'm not exactly into…
Even caught up to the most recent episode, I'm still more interested in Joseph Zeng and Chen Duling getting more screentime together. They've been great. But the Tian Jiarui and Ju Jingyi ship has turned out less grating than I initially feared, so that's good.
I liked the tease about Wu Shi Guang's true demonic heritage in episode 5 and now it's already paying off! Seems like the drama is thankfully picking up steam after this slow start. Even though slow is relative. There's so much going on already.
It's so good, I barely notice the shortened episode length even though I obviously want more. They really use their time well. Episode 8 is spectacular and Episode 9 fittingly more lowkey. This is one of the few dramas were I already wish to rewatch the first episodes.
