Arthur Chen plays the real Duan Xu. He was taken captive as a child and his father didn't save him to keep state secrets safe instead. To not betray that his child was taken captive, he sent an imposter to live with Duan Xu's grandmother and sister. That imposter is Fang Xianye. Later the father tried to kill the imposter he had created so the lies wouldn't be revealed, but Duan Xu saved Fang Xianye and they have been working together since.

Idk, I don't buy that Jiu Ying would just agree to Ji Ling saying: "Yeah, I will kill Wu Wangyan sometime in the future." Even if I were a 100% convinced that Ji Ling wants to remain the dragon deity, this is a bad plan. He might just be stalling for time.

He knew Jiu Ying wanted them in the formless moon sect, so they were probably let through and, yes, he was there before. It still was way too easy. I'm waiting for these dragon powers to be properly used.

Five episodes in and it's already breaking my heart. Only thing that makes me laugh is that this is the second drama with Brocade in the name that Tan Song Yun leads.

Too many dramas are getting the pure romance treatment from the audience, where everything is labeled as too complicated when the story dares to incorporate more than the romantic leads seeking to be attached by the hip. I really love that He Simu and Duan Xu are involved in their own political games in separate courts. Their love isn't just there for the relationship. Their love reveals more about themselves and the worlds they live in. It's very character serving.

Wu Shi Guang regaining Wu Wang Yan's summoning pearl! Hope he can do something good with it. 🙏 Ji Ling also asked Wu Wang Yan way back when how she would keep her memories hidden from the queen, so he can't be the Chi Wen who gave her the dragon tooth (?) bracelet to store her memories in.

It's not about who she loves. They already said neither is in love with each other. It's about him wanting to meet her for reasons that aren't revealed yet to her or the viewer.

Wu Shi Guang and Wu Wang Yan are just so good together. Also, this is such a strong debut for Wu Han as You Chi. I really want more scenes with all three of them. Maybe Wang Yan can go back to her old ways but this time tell the right man that he stinks. 😂

I feel like even if Chi Wen isn't truly a dragon another reason for the powers going to Wu Shi Guang could be that there isn't enough power to go around. When the star stone explained that not even he realized that it was not the Shilin Sect that massacred the flood dragon clan, he said "I thought Chi Wen..." and didn't finish. So there might be bad blood between 9th dragon son and 10th dragon son. After all, Wu Shi Guang didn't came into existence the way his brothers did. He was created out of their scales. But as others have pointed it, it is suspicious that we never see past Chi Wen's face.
