They dated for 5 years, of course she thought of him as a friend. Probably her only friend as she sacrificed her life for his new job. Her calling him was because of familiarity and the fact that his uncle was a prosecutor. If she was in his place, she would've helped. I think that's why she called. She also said she didn't want to get married but was forced because of those five years. So they've more familiarity than love or lust. Also her ex is really immature and childish, their dynamic is like that.

This reminded me of those old school romcoms, you don't need to show intimate scenes, even their hugs are so cozy. I've LITERALLY never seen the way Xiao Ju hugs her, it looks so comforting. Very few dramas do the ML revolution of emotions like LOTFG, from his stern eyes to soft shy smiles ahhhh😭😭

Already rewatched it 3 times, in the span of 3 months😭. No Cdramas do this anymore, where I can just breath freely without fearing SML, SFL and third act breakups😭 Ugh I miss them every couple of months😭

I'm also so mad. They could've done so much in the last 5 EPs but they just ruined it by conflict that doesn't matter at all. I'm so mad I wish the main couple reunites in another WELL WRITTEN DRAMA

The proper way to end this drama would've been deleting the entire plot from ep19, making the SML go away for good, and rather make them wake up from the coma and find their way to each other, them finding normalcy on the real life and patching up the reality of their life. FROM THE START they should've made Ga Rui an unimportant character(WHY TF would you give a dead man a love interest??) so that his nonexistence wouldn't matter. It's just so bittersweet to make up a whole family in your dreams and wake up in a shitty life.

They do end up together and it is HEA, but the movie also is a bit sad as they both experience traumatic events.

I'm so happy to finally see a proper brewing romance. They were pining for each other so long that their kiss finally paid off those years of secret glances. Also their relationship before romance was so organic I loved their dynamics very much. I hope they don't have a miscommunication breakup. AND I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE HOW THEY TIE THE TIME TRAVEL TROPE IN THE END.

As happy as I am, I'm also a bit sad about the anticlimactic ending. The fact that his actual name was needed for everything to go okay felt so sudden. And god forbid yeomhwa, girl was in every crime scene, scheming and scheming and always her plans fall through. Even bongsu was a better villain than her. And the time jumps were difficult to follow. I wish the last ten minutes were worth two episodes. But I have to say the OST is FIRE.
