I completely agree with the need for equal billing to resolve these plain and frustrating billing issues. It's been a headache and is really ruining the atmosphere of the drama 😩. To be honest, we weren't the first to bring up the billing issue; someone else started and spread the false rumor. Regarding SF4, if you know how much J gets paid compared to CZY and the other cast members, you'll see that no matter who spreads the rumor, it's clear that he didn't even receive equal billing or anything similar.
I didn't capture those information from WB as that payment report was posted several months ago.

Yep, they call him ugly because he doesn't have a tall-bridge nose and isn't 185-190+ cm tall 🤣 but he's far from ugly, for sure.
Many international fans consider him good-looking and handsome including us lol.

Sometimes I avoid CZY's circle on Weibo due to the negativity and insults from YXH and other haters.
They criticize him for everything imaginable—like body shaming for his height compared to taller Chinese actors over 185++ saying he is so short (They can't bully him for his good proportion because he is slender with long legs, but he may appear shorter when standing next to tall actresses and actors.) , calling him ugly (which makes me wonder to see the real face of them behind that posts!), posting he is bad at acting , and comparing his popularity to other 95ers actors.
They even claim he's not popular in China and post side-by-side pictures to argue he's less attractive than others.
Despite being in the industry for over 8 years, his dramas have low viewership blah blah blah. 😡

There's so much that I wish I could curse them out in Chinese on Weibo, haha. Sorry, I'm not good at ignoring these things.

Based on your second point, that's also my biggest concern.
If iQiyi is inclined to push the drama aside, that could be the reason. It's okay with me if TWOT doesn't gain as much attention or popularity as HL, but it's satisfying to see him take on more serious roles like this.
As you mentioned, tragic stories aren't as popular as dramas with happy endings. People often prefer to avoid reality by enjoying romance dramas with super happy endings. When they know the ending is tragic, they tend not to start watching in the first place.

Nevertheless, I hope for the best for CZY; he still has a long way to go as an actor 🙂

I sometimes wish I could ignore the toxic culture in C-ent that often spreads hate and misinformation, but since he's a Chinese actor, I can't completely ignore it. It's really disheartening. I would love to see him in a drama outside of Chinese platforms, like a Netflix original. However, that seems unlikely since he's with iQiyi.

C-ents are so complicated when it comes to traffic stars. There's YXH and other haters trying to drag CZY down, almost as if they're afraid he'll become more popular.
Even though he's very popular internationally, his agency doesn't always react appropriately to everything.
They ignore bullying and misinformation from haters, remaining quiet, with only Yuanbao stepping up to protect him.
Despite being under iQiyi, which owns the platform, his agency doesn't seem proactive in finding good projects for him.

I'm actually more into suspenseful investigation dramas than romance dramas because they keep me immersed in the storyline until the end. I'm really looking forward to DNAD too. I find it quite hard to finish romance dramas that don't show improvement or progress in the storyline. I finished HL because I like watching CZY's acting, and his micro-expressions fascinate me.

Knockout was the most viewed Chinese drama last year and on iQiyi.
I'm not surprised.
