I respect people who see it differently, but I think many are forgetting everything he has already done for her. He made the hardest decision in the past, and that decision is what pushed her to grow. In a way, he played a huge role in helping her become the strong, mature, and successful woman she is today. That's why it feels strange to me that, even though she's trying to help him now, she keeps creating situations that bring him down, especially with this never-ending jealousy. I even agree that his jealousy is excessive at times, but the way the drama keeps dragging it out weakens the romance and takes away some of the chemistry between them.At the end of the day, that's just my opinion. Everyone sees the story differently, and that's completely fine. Besides, it's a drama, so they'll most likely end up together anyway.

2ML is so annoying, and FL flirting with him in front of ML is cold hearted. No more mind games please. And for…
I totally agree with you. Honestly, it's starting to get really frustrating to watch. There are more scenes of her provoking him over jealousy than actual sweet moments between them.

I've been saying this since the beginning the leads are losing the chemistry they seemed to have in the first few episodes. Instead of getting better, the romance has just gone downhill. Even if they end up together in the end, it's hard to feel that excitement I usually get from a couple with great chemistry.

The way she keeps treating him is ruining the romance for me. We no longer see that lovable couple we're hoping to root for. Instead, it's just constant teasing, jealousy, and arguments, especially from her side. Then the story expects us to believe she always liked him? That just doesn't feel convincing to me.

Watching these scenes has become more stressful than enjoyable. But anyway, let's see what happens next. We already know they'll probably end up together, but that alone doesn't make a romance satisfying. If most of the story is just jealousy, fights, and a couple losing the chemistry they had at the beginning, the ending won't feel nearly as rewarding.

Man, I took a look at the comments and... what kind of collective meltdown is this? 😂 People seem more stressed than the characters themselves!

Honestly, the drama is good, but I was expecting a lot more chemistry between the leads. The romance feels a bit flat, so I'm not getting the same excitement I felt with other romantic dramas. When a couple has amazing chemistry, even I get jealous of the characters. That just hasn't happened for me yet.

What I'm enjoying the most right now is the comment section. 😂 People are completely losing it over Miao Jing's romantic past, as if it's the end of the world.

Come on, guys! From what I've read in parts of the original novel, Chen Yi also had several relationships before. He wasn't exactly a saint or some completely innocent guy. The drama simply toned down that side of his character, so a lot of people assume he's always been that way.

I know some people watch dramas to escape reality, while others prefer more realistic stories. Everyone has their own taste. But seriously... relax. It's just fiction. Let the story unfold before jumping to conclusions.

In the meantime, keep the comments coming, because this comment section is becoming entertainment on its own. 😂

I really liked the drama. Although I think some aspects could have been better developed, the emotional side was simply perfect. The chemistry between the main characters, especially in the final episodes, was intense and engaging it even made me emotional.

I just think the special episode should have been included in the official ending, since many people might not watch it and end up with an incomplete impression of the story. Even so, it’s possible to understand that they ended up together, but it would have been clearer and more satisfying if that had been shown in the final episode.

Overall, in terms of romance and emotion, it was wonderful even though there was room for improvement in the story’s dynamics.

Its a romance melodrama not a romcom. What were you expecting
When I first started watching, I didn’t realize it was a melodrama. Later on, I did, but that alone doesn’t mean the story has to be bad. It’s totally possible to have a good story even with a sad ending. The problem is that this one was very depressing and exhausting. I’ve watched several melodramas with sad endings before, but they had good character chemistry and solid development, and they didn’t leave me with this heavy feeling I have now. You know what I mean?

I’ll just say one thing: this K-drama was pure depression. I started loving it and ended up hating it. Seriously, what a disappointment. If anyone plans to watch it expecting a beautiful, heartwarming romance, forget it — it’s the complete opposite. It’s a heavy, sad, and draining kind of love that only brings you down. I don’t recommend it. Honestly, don’t even bother watching.

Concordo com você, olha, que drama complicado. Os únicos episódios realmente bons são os primeiros, porque depois é só ladeira abaixo. E a protagonista é muito chata, o que deixa a história ainda mais cansativa.

since when netflix cared about sensual scenes??
I think Netflix was required to release the episode this way because iQIYI and Tencent Video had already provided the original version with those cuts.

But why cuts only for main couple
I don’t understand why they cut that specific scene of the main couple — it’s sad, but it is what it is. At least we had the chance to see it in the leaked episodes. I think many romantic scenes were filmed but never actually made it to the final version. From the behind-the-scenes clips, you can tell there’s a lot of content that was left out, including more intense moments that didn’t appear in the official release or even in the BTS videos — I even think some of those clips were hidden, like that neck kiss that left a mark on the female lead.

It’s official: Netflix also cut the scene of her coming out from under the blanket. Their justification was the show’s age rating, saying the scene was too sensual and could exceed the intended classification — but that doesn’t really make sense, since it was filmed and shown from the beginning. I think it was pretty unfair of them to remove it.
Luckily, I was able to watch the leaked episodes, which were complete. And it wasn’t just that scene — several others that appeared in behind-the-scenes footage didn’t even make it into the final version of the drama. It’s a shame they made these cuts.

We’re already past the halfway point of the drama, and I feel the story is very slow and poorly developed, especially when it comes to the main couple. The female lead always seems indecisive, torn between her career and her love life, which makes it feel like she could break up with him at any moment—even though the male lead already knows what he wants.

Also, the presence of a second male lead, in my opinion, only makes things worse. This kind of love triangle usually turns into pure dragging, with a tiring back-and-forth until the end. I know some people like this style, but for me, it takes away the enjoyment and splits the audience.

Whether the ending is happy or not, this constant indecision and slow romance become exhausting. Still, I’ll keep watching to see how it ends, even though it already feels like this dragging will continue until the last episode.

Does anyone know if this story has a love triangle, or if the female protagonist has a relationship with other characters besides the male protagonist, or something like that?

Episode 18 was simply incredible. Every effect, every fight, every emotion… everything was perfect. With each episode, the series just keeps getting better.

After so many problems in the script, the ending lost all its emotional impact. The love triangle practically ruined the story, which was really sad.

For me, if there’s no love triangle in this story, it’s already perfect. I can’t stand this overused cliché in dramas anymore.

It’s too early to tell but do we think the hotel guy is the FL future love interest? If so I’m really curious…
I hope that guy from the hotel doesn’t have any romantic involvement with the female protagonist. I’m already tired of this love triangle cliché in dramas.

Lmao 🤣 I heard this happened in love alarm kdrama 🫩
And also The Interest of Love. Honestly, this k-drama really frustrated me and even made me angry because of how the story and relationships were handled.

i repeat myself but why making such kind second sml guy ?? it's depressing to watch cos we know who she's gonna…
Some dramas that feature a love triangle and have the female protagonist end up with the second male lead are often heavily criticized and tend to receive low ratings. Because of this, many writers avoid creating stories with this type of ending, since a large part of the audience usually roots for the main male character.

One example is the k-drama Love Alarm, which, in my opinion, is on the list of the worst k-dramas I’ve watched, mainly because of the protagonist’s final choice.

Another example is The Interest of Love, which also received a lot of criticism due to the romantic development and the decisions made by the female lead.
