The double was to some extent good. As compared to other novel adaptations it did justice in its own way. As you said there were many instances in the novel where fl solved the problem on her own. I felt that they made her depend on ml little too much. So many scenes in novels were skipped. But in the drama worked because the chemistry was amazing and the actors gave their best with whatever script they were given . I'm not sure the same thing can be applied for rebirth of malicious empress of military Lineage cause it has so many iconic scenes so many plot twists. And the way the novel has been written makes it difficult to adapt into drama . If done well it'll be a huge hit all over the world. Cause it's a first novel and favourite novel for many people all over the world . So I literally have no expectations for this drama . Cause I heard it might be only 36 episodes. In 36 episodes they can only complete the story till Shen miao goes back to her mother's hometown I guess. Need another 40 episodes to show the story of her coming back to captial , getting married to xing jing xing and going to his place and becoming the queen she is meant to be .

Also. Falling into your smile is one of his best drama . His other dramas have that one time watch feeling . It's not that it's bad but there aren't any iconic scenes or any scenes where it can be remembered. .

Tried it. It's just that I watched it after story of yanxi palace, hoping that it'll fill my heartbreak I had from that drama. I felt it was dragged a little . Maybe I might watch it in the future.

Same here. Xu Kai is an amazing actor. It's just the script of the dramas he's been choosing are not making him stand out. After his drama Falling in to your smile, I haven't watched any of his dramas completely. I've given up within first 10 episodes. I'm currently watching his as beautiful as you drama let's see how this one is. I'm waiting for this drama moonlit reunion . I hope this brings out his charm and this drama becomes a success .
