from my point of view, he was. when the dad (mr. shen) realised linyan looks like their ancestor and all the family knew that their ancestor work at palace(minister?)
but other pov, their ancestor marry with lady shen who r their female ancestor. believe that she looks like shen shaoguang...and maybe they time travelled to yongan to change linyan fate so, Linyan will married with lady shen instead.
i also read people thought tht ' linyan ' might transmigrate to yongan as Linyan
so far , they don't revealed much how their ancestor marry with female ancestor. but if their ancestor marry with other girl , they might not existed too
Honestly, it remind me of one of Indonesian novel , title - Skizofernia, that novel really good. the girl got raped by young people and luckily she has a good husband 😭 but that novel so traumatised, and this drama has a similar like 50% synopsis with the novel 😭😭 looking forward to this drama!
