As some who has watched fabricated city not only once but multiple times this drama still manages to keep me on toes and not feels boring and if you want me to draw comparison between this drama and the movie.. Then.. That it has the similar plot point that a man is framed and there is some one who framed him but the main difference is that Park Taejung is not Kwon yu and become of this fact the people around him are different and how he handles different situations are also different.. So yes, I do recommend to check out the drama..

2nd the old man says that he missed his 'timeslot to visit' and not that ‘the visiting hour was over’ to which the officer reply ''come I will arrange it for you ''.. but the old man refused and say he will come tomorrow.. [To meet the prisoner you have to go through some procedure like filling a form and then you get a "Timeslot". So, the old man missed his timeslot not that the visiting hour were over.
