Even though in book 1 VP ends in cliffhanger, they have their own special chaps whr their story is completed..
I don't know anything about the following books the author will release, however for me and as I see it: the VP book - it is one type of ending and it could be the end (standalone, and solid one ending). If the author decided that she does want to continue with the same story, then I would see the current ending not being the end. As well as the author (aka same pov as the author). Let's hope she knows when to end and not to mess the story. Well...too much. :D
