One of my favorites. I remember watching it when it was first released. Chen Xiao was already such a good actor. The 2 FL have both become very well liked and well known, very talented. I just re-watched for probably the 100th time tonight. Still evokes emotion. ❀️

FL is childish??? Woah. Okay. For me being mature doesn't mean you can't be happy and playful.-Maturity is holding…
Nice. That is your opinion. I respect that.☺️

hehe... I like 2ML more. *evil grin* Alas, this is why I enjoy historical romance dramas more. The whole childish FL paired with a overly mature "damaged" ML is played out. It's too cringe for me. Some scenes feel almost like father/daughter because of how childish FL is and how serious ML is. Gives me the ick. Why can't we get a mature powerhouse FL matched with her equally mature powerhouse ML in modern romance??? It's always a childish FL. Before you start sharpening your knives lol this is my personal opinion. Don't come for me, I am a fan of Lu Yuxiao (she's the reason I'm even watching this modern romance). I prefer her in historical dramas. - I like the storyline of her best friend more in this drama. Of course, I think we ALL know where this storyline is leading. It's cute, cringe, predictable, and nothing new. But there is something for everyone. This just isn't it for me. The soundtrack though, very nice. πŸ‘πŸ½

Enjoyed it. Definitely DID NOT need the whole Capitol bit. They could've just went from episode 30 straight to episode 36. 31-35 fell flat for me. Seeing LJL go from being this absolute badass green flag to a whiny petty red flag was a a let down. His character development actually digressed. RSB was a total freaking BOSS throughout the whole thing. I'm so happy with her character and the writers keeping her this absolute feminine powerhouse to the end. Nazha is a great actress and I hope to see her in more dramas. She's so beautiful too! All of the female actresses were *chefs kiss* very well done. Tiger Grandma was something else! Oooh she made me mad. So many villains. Well paced. Will definitely re-watch. 9/10 πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

So much to unpack... First off, too much crying. Everyone was crying at every little turn. I love TSY, but she is a terrible crier. Lol I'm not usually into these types of dramas but I give them a go every now and then. So my review/comment shouldn't be taken to heart. A lot of things didn't make any sense. One main thing that bothered me was how Bingzhu all of a sudden became this ultra powerful HUMAN. Able to take out three 10,000 year old mega demons. I mean sure he had Evil PianPian helping him out, but her too. She was a newbie spirit. Sure, he also had Taner the sword but still she was no where near as powerful. Now all of a sudden PianPian Patricia and Bingzhu are this ultimate force? Annoying. Then Bingzhu just gets away with his crimes. Literally does some terrible things and in the end is rewarded with his Sister and no retribution. Annoying. Xiao Yao lost 3 of her brothers/best friends, and Bingzhu just walked off into the sunset. Nobody was bothered. Then there's the whole Hong Ye turning himself into the martyr that nobody asked him to be. Lol Laughable. He really said, I'll take this. BYE, you'll never see me again and dipped. All of that epic 3 story love seemed moot to me. That was a writers flaw for sure. They could've come up with something better that didn't include Hong Ye's self sacrifice. I guess tragic unnecessary-ness wins hearts & tears. Then again, this is fantasy. Maybe I was expecting too much from something that is just following the trend of these fantasy dramas. I'm enjoying HMH in GLORY more. TSY is a great actress, I do enjoy her more serious roles. ** I think the most heartbreaking part of the drama was noticing Xiao Mings eyes were no longer 2 different colors. πŸ’” ** Anyway, that's my little opinion. I rated it a 7 - Which I think was generous. Good OST. Good FX. Beautiful sets.

A solid 10 for me. All the way through it kept me interested. I hardly ever purchase express, but I had to for this. I'm new to CY dramas, his acting and emotional control is commendable. What a show! Very good πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

It had its flaws but in the end, as a cohesive, I enjoyed it very much. Entertaining all the way through. Beautiful costumes and set work. FL and ML chemistry was good! A few contradictory plots/moments and sometimes the power struggles didn't even make sense. But like I said, I still enjoyed it to the end. I loveeeee that kind of ending. Showing the actual meeting and not just implying that they met again. Bravo πŸ‘πŸ½ Acting was good, drama was good, OST was good, chemistry between leads was good 🫴🏽 8.5/10 - I would re-watch.

Where is the chemistry? Where is the emotion? Where is the charisma? Victoria Song (FL) fell sooo flat in this role. She was boring and pretty much one note all the way through. I felt like DYX carried most of the heavy lifting between the ML/FL. Their romance and storyline felt like it wasn't the main couple plot. Maybe VS is better suited for modern dramas? Also, she felt and looked way older than ML. Definitely, not my favorite lead couple. All of the other couples were great! Especially the Princess and Zhao Yue. So tragic! So good. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ Tuan Tuan was my favorite character, so cute and strong-willed. Silly Lin Yang took too long to figure things out. In the beginning Chu Jin was annoying but her character development was pretty decent in the end. The Song Brothers, love them! I'm pretty sure we could've done without the 34 episode long peepee contest between Gu Chu Seng and Wei Yun. The whole "mine is bigger than yours" pettiness got old really fast for me. It made me dislike WY every time he was in a scene with GCS. It was like he was being a jerk for no reason sometimes. Overplayed. GCS was annoying with his persistence after being told NO 20 different ways. Lol But besides that his character was a good guy. The Emperor was MEH. The Crown Prince storyline was off and made no sense. The OST was okay, nothing to get excited about. At the end, I think the plot was decent enough for one watch. Definitely, not a re-watch for me. 7/10 rating

πŸ’€πŸ‘€ the main leads dubbed themselves here
If so, LYX needs to work on her crying. It's terrible.

Ji Bozai in a relationship 🚩🚩 Ji Bozai outside of a relationship πŸ’šπŸ’š This was a cute drama. I watched the last 2 episodes at 2x speed. I feel like the ending was a bit of a drag and predictable. The voice over crying they gave my girl LYX was terrible. Please don't use that voice actor as a crying dub ever again. Also, I realize I don't like HMH in bright colors lol Dark colors suit him better. Yu Cheng En is such a beautiful person to see on screen and such a good 2nd lead actor. He joins Yan An as the most handsome villains in a C-Drama. The OST is good. A lot of lovable side characters. All in all it's a 7/10 for me.
On Moonlit Reunion Oct 4, 2025
Loved it. It was fun, dramatic, emotional, and whimsical. The OST was fitting and not too overwhelming. Tian Xiwei is becoming one of my favorite actresses to watch. She so good at conveying emotion, especially when she cries. That's how I know she's good, she can make me tear up just by watching her cry. She doesn't have to force anything, her acting is effortless. She does cutesy very well and in a non annoying way. I can't wait to see her rise higher and higher. Xu Kai of course is and has been a very good actor. Loved the casting for this, everyone was perfect for their role. The costumes were beautiful as well. I will definitely re-watch.

Ah... Shadow Love was very mediocre. Same plot. Same tropes. Same outcome. Very predictable. I'm realizing now that I'm not a big fan of Xanxia/Fantasy/Romance. I was skipping through the last 10 episodes. But a lot of fantasy fans enjoyed it so... Maybe you might too? Lol I definitely won't be rewatching.

At the end of the day, fantasy romance just isn't my cup of tea. Same plot. Same outcome. Ryan Cheng deserves all of the flowers, he carried this drama. By episode 29 I was skipping thru and could pretty much predict every episode. The OST is great! Liu Yu Ning kills it every time. Definitely will not be on my re-watch list. Average. *Of course this is just my opinion* On to the next. πŸ˜‰

I agree. They flopped on the FL by casting SY. She was the most not-so-looking-General General I've ever watched. It's laughable that they wanted us to believe she was this great formidable General with a scary nickname. She's literally a waif. The character was written well enough, but she definitely didn't make it believable. I couldn't get with it. Yes, her voice as well. I mean the least they could've done was dub her with a more mature VA. I'm not saying they should've cast some big buff female but they literally picked the most daintiest, fragile, soft looking actress. Her wrists didn't even fit in the shackles πŸ˜‚ she could've slipped right out. AND that's why it's important to take these details into consideration when casting. Some of us actually aren't easy to fool. It just makes it seem silly. SY is definitely not fit for these types of roles imo. MY OPINION. Keep her in dainty roles where she excels. By episode 29 I pretty much skipped thru every episode til the end. They also let me down by making Prince Annan fold pretty quick and easily when he was supposed to be this tough hard a**. But this is a fantasy romance, maybe these types of dramas are just not my cup of tea at the end of the day.

Definitely not a fan of dingbat stubborn hardheaded female lead characters. But I have to remind myself this is romance xanxia and this is typical for FL's in this genre. It's just weird to see one of my favorite actresses play a less dramatic and immature role than I'm used to. Not a fan of xanxia at all but I'll indulge a few if I like the actors. Bai Lu of course is the only reason I'm continuing, even if her character is excruciatingly annoying. Ao Ruipeng is pretty good in this, handsome demon. I'm starting to enjoy his acting after CD. I'm only on episode 13 so I'll wait and continue watching. Might drop for Shadow Love tho. 😌
