You probably already know this, but just in case, Netflix usually has 2 English subtitles for foreign content: English and English [CC]. From my experience, English [CC] is always a mess, English is usually much better.

Quite common in manufacturing plants, power plants or similar facilities, especially when they are located in very remote areas. In my first job in a Power Plant, I stayed in a shared dorm for the first 1 year, then got a single dorm room of my own after promotion. So, it is quite normal, I guess.
