Thats right! they are good ones. In fact The Prisoner of Beauty ,Love in the Clouds,are one of my favourites.Fated heart and Generation to generation were good too ,Even though all these women centric and FL is the focus.These dramas didn't lower the ML's importance.
The Kdrama "river where the moon rises" had a perfect balance .It was also FL focused but it didn't downplay ML.
Have you seen the " new life begins",I was annoyed with that one because of the same reason of over propaganda (like blossom or what is happening in PoJ right now after ep 27).It just feels cringey when stated repeatedly while downplaying importance of others.

That's right!
It's like they are mindlessly pushing s propaganda.
But they are not realising the other side.
Like ,take the example of ML's friend advisor Gongsun .He is of lower status than Princess,so her pursuing him is burdening for him.So in that sense He should become emperor himself in order to marry her🤣🤣So he would be "equal to her'.

It just breaks the storytelling and makes it feel absurd and unnatural, like they are trying to make something true by saying it repeatedly all the times.
I am feeling exactly how you are feeling.
The storytelling for those portion is like - if she helps her its because she loves her,but if he helps her,then it means he is looking down on her.What the heck is this ?
This just unequal romance and unbalanced dynamics.In this trend they are just making -
MLs in love is fool and gets weaker, FLs in love get stronger and just makes fool of ML.
Balance should be there, imbalance in dynamics leaves s bad taste and annoyance.
I find the line funny-"I stand behind no one"- so all of them should just break the formation and stand in a horizontal line side by side each other to signify equality ( as others would also say I stand behind no one) and fight like that in straight line formation🤣🤣.

Which episode are you watching?

I am watching ep 27 -28 and ... everything was fine going in the earlier 26 episodes,until the FL started to throw a tantrum as we see in CDramas.
The " why rely on man .. blah...I can do it alone ...blah..You would not need me anymore cause you are of status.. blah ..I will not rely on you...I am free to do as I wish.. etc "and many more.
Why the heck?
Can't the ML do the same.He can also fight alone,he doesn't need anyone..Had he asked her to come to battlefield,did he ask for protection.No , she came cause she is worried about him and loves him so wanted to lighten his burden.
Then why is it wrong when he wants to help her and rely upon him.She acted a little entitled somehow and threw tantrum.When he wants to help her,she says " I can do it myself ."
(Note I am talking about the character not actress).
I don't know but these two episodes irked and irritated me and also the reason for her declining marquis is childish and has no point, just full of bullshit tantrum.I can't even know what the problem is if Zheng yan is Xie zheng Marquis.They both are the same as person.Its like she pitied zheng yan and thought that he needs and depends on her .But now that it is revealed that he is marquis xie zheng and need not be dependent on her and has power by himself,she thinks she would be belittled or what? It's like she fears he would outshine her if she remains with him?

There may be short love couple scuffle between them (as it's mandatory in cdramas 🤣) but the will easily resolve it cause they love each other wholeheartedly and... for now they have much bigger fish to fry.
And TXW is very good with facial expressions,so she did a good job👍

I think we can strike out anger,betrayal and heartbreak,cause she love him as her husband and a person.She already respected and thought well of Marquis Xie Zheng, So she would be just surprised not heartbroken.She may get a bit sad and pout by the fact that he hid his identity,but it would be momentary.

Yeah.. and I am enamoured by these three beauties.(TXW ,SK and princess royal).Can't take my eyes off.
And some characters make my blood boil , like the song guy and his mother,PM Wei ,empress.
The grey haired guy..I have to see more to decide whether he is a bit good or completely bad.
And the emperor, can't even decide whether to laugh at him or pity him.He just sits their and court proceeds by itself with the Li and Wei factions exchanging veiled remarks .

Yes ! In terms of expressions and cute actions TXW overtakes Song ..so it's tough to rank..haha!

When I started I thought Tian Xi Wei would be the prettiest in this drama (cause I don't check about the actors and what role they are playing,to keep the mystery and feel of story).
But after watching 11 episodes , I can say she is getting tough competition.
(My personal opinion) Tian Xi Wei and Snow kong are the prettiest,they are equally matched one or other way,both are cheery beauties ( but snow kong is leading by a tiny bit I think cause she is more closure to my ideal stature).
And the royal princess is pretty too ,just a different kind.While Tian and Song are pretty cheerful beauties, Princess is mature and serene simple beauty.
Man I am getting jealous of ML and his Scholar friend..
The 2 nd couple is cute too (princess and scholar).

I am on ep 4 ,and it was hilarious ,not a single moment feel wasted.And the unexpected cheek kisses 🤣🤣.
Since ep 1 ,I knew Xie zheng would be the CEO of this historical drama🤣🤣making money for wife and not used to humble living.
Since she is also gonna be a general,it seems somewhat like the reverse version of "river where the moon rises" where FL was already a general and ML was brute villager who later became a general.

Thats the problem.Balance is required in all stories.I watch donghua,anime,and dramas .I am more supportive of Male MC cause I am a man but in terms of right and wrong,and story balance both male and female MCs should be given equal weightage.

Tian Xi Wei looks more and more pretty and cute each time I see her.In Moonlight reunion she was good ( though I couldn't watch after 1st half cause of some irritating things), but the pursuit of jade character suits her best.
Everytime she smiles my heart just skips a beat and her sulking looks too cute.🥰

I marinated it a bit so that I can watch it without waiting.The character design of Pursuit of jade is very good.I am watching it now and I am in love with it.
I think Pursuit of jade will be added to my favourite list!
The base story plot fits my taste!
And Man .. each time I see Tian Xi Wei , she gets more and more pretty and cute.
Her cute smile just make my heart skip a beat and her sulking face is too cute.
Btw have you watched Coroner's diary?
It's a good watch.
It also focuses on female MC but it balances well and the Male MC is equally given importance.Though the story is not romance focused and somewhere in between the core goal changed ,but it is very good drama with twists and turns.( Which were predictable for me though).

I can feel your frustration.It feels empty somehow and leaves a bad taste.How can ML be undermined even compared to support roles?
There should be a balance between all roles.

Most dramas nowadays....😓 They forget to balance and only focus on one side(mostly FL) to attract viewers.

It's ok , everyone has right to express what they feel.And a single action or scene can be interpreted differently and different viewers.
And yes,if it gets more repeated it wil get annoying.
But you can see in ep 24 she likes him and depends on him, just shy to express as he is her first love interest in life.That too from demonic sect.
(Mother and father asking the right question at the right time😉).
But yes, if she keeps hesitating like that ,it may infuriate me too.
And I find Bao FL very cute and beautiful myself.She is like a mix of a cute mouse and rabbit

I think everyone saw it differently.For me ,it felt cute .( it may get irritating if it continues outrightly, but) In that particular scene,you can see how FL was smiling in happiness while holding dice.And ML was smiling cause he knew her antics and tsundere behaviour very well.
You can also know how FL feel for ML when ML entangled his fingers with her,she got shy and shut her mouth immediately.
So for me ,it was a silent romantic scene,where they are of one mind even without saying it outrightly.And the scene of them holding hand through the hole😂was interesting and cute.
If it stretches beyond need it may get annoying,but till now it's acceptable.On small doses, it's cute.
And about the love triangles...
Yes it has become repetitive ,both in Cdrama and Kdrama where 1 or 2 men other than ML has crush on FL and try to come in between ML and FL. While ML stops any of his other Female admirers from miles away.
