I think op is right cus even if you say he should think about not marrying her at all, considering his strategic brain he will obv take up the chance cuz if not he will have nowhere that would welcome him. I mean yes Jinxiu don't welcome him either way but if he didn't marry her, they would have had a reason to execute him for defying imperial orders. And I actually think if FSG never met FYX, he might have done the same ( as in marrying for the bigger plan) but since it will be shown from FSG's pov, we would obv be blaming whoever the girl is as annoying if she acted the same way as xiyang. XJS telling her she still has a chance to turn back was an attempt to make her stay and not follow him to Jinxiu but they were already married at this point so the imperial decree was not disobeyed. And even in Jinxiu it was very obvious he would never give her what she desires of love so it is her fault. All because of one time he helped her?
With the change of second prince demeanor, I feel like the throne will not be going to FSG at the end so at this point I'm just hoping he at least stays in the palace and helps his brother and not run to the countryside like how MCs usually do. His brother definitely needs him atm

The second prince's expressions are very ambiguous rn. I can't tell if he is going to stand against the empress or FSG. When he was rethinking all the times his mother told him about how he should keep away from FSG etc, was he starting to suspect his mother or was it deepening his misunderstanding of FSG like him thinking 'my mum warned me so much but I didn't heed her advice' and the way the empress kept dodging his question about teaming up with Murong family might have added to his suspicions if he is indeed suspecting the empress. I kind of like it that it is ambiguous so that we can still hope for him to stand as FSG ally instead of an enemy
I'm really liking Feng Xiyang's new persona but if only all this wasn't the consequences of her doing, she would have been one of my fav characters. Remembering that all this situation was because of her actions, I'm can at most be partial only now

I feel like MURONG Yao knew that girl saw everything and hoped for FSG to be saved and only is putting up a front in front of his father. And I'm actually quite disgusted with the Jinxiu emperor too, like going after married woman ew and though I hate the princess too, I hate the fact that these two might end up tgt, there was a picture where they both were wearing wedding dresses so idk what that is about but two disgusting people being together like this just makes it double the disgusting like I can't even say 'they are enough evil and are meant for each other' like other villain side couples in other dramas

Even Murong Yao has twisted logic like the way he killed the two farmers without asking anything even though he knew the one who kidnapped his dad was FYX and not them.... Then he wants to speak of justice. I hate how most of these people are treating commoners as ants.
