Happy Birthday Yiran! May this year bring you bigger opportunities and the recognition worthy of your talent and may you always stay healthy and happy! Lots of love! ❤️🎂🎉
I am yet to encounter another work that parallels this undoubtedly the finest historical drama of the year. It ensnared me from the very first episode, and the anticipation of awaiting each release was an experience in itself. Xiao Zhan needs to grace us with more dramas he is, without question, a phenomenal and transcendent actor.
Seems like the whole premise of the drama is lost on you. The FL is not a one dimensional Mary sue written to…
I do understand the premise 🙂 that she's written as an ordinary modern girl in a cultivation world. My issue isn't that every FL has to be an all-powerful fighter from the start, it's that female leads are too often boxed into the same 'ordinary/weak' mold while male leads almost always get complexity, strength, and agency. It's not about this drama alone it's about the larger trend across the genre. That's why I wish even in romance-heavy stories, writers gave FLs more layers instead of leaning on the same trope again and again. Just my perspective no offense ✨
I get where you’re coming from, this trope is overused. But in WDBTD it actually fits. Tangyan isn’t useless…
True, I get that it's meant to be romance-centric and Tangyan is supposed to feel ordinary in a crazy world. But my point is-ordinary doesn't have to mean underwritten. Even in lighthearted or romance first dramas, female leads can still be given more layers and strength beyond just being the 'regular girl.' It doesn't have to take away from the comedy or romance, it could actually make them even better.
The title of this novel is 'Offering Salted Fish to the Master'. FL is a 'salted fish', she repeatedly says her…
Fair enough. I get that the novel/drama is meant to be more on the romance-comedy side and not every story has to be deep. But personally, I still feel like even in lighter shows, women deserve a little more substance than just being 'lazy' or a prop for the ML. Comedy and romance can still shine with better characterization.
why do you guys always feel the need of there being a strong female lead for the drama to be good? it literally…
If the ML can be powerful, why can't the FL be written with the same care? The problem isn't her being weak once in a while, it's that she's always made into a prop with no real purpose except existing for the ML. Equal strength and agency wouldn't ruin the romance it would actually make the story richer. But that's just my take no offense i just voiced my opinion i love both the leads and have watched their previous works too.
Everyone keeps praising the "romance" and the "intimate moments," but if you look past that... there's nothing there. The fl is one of the weakest I've seen always a damsel in distress, constantly needing protection, with no growth, no purpose, and no real agency in the story. Even the villainess feels more alive and compelling than her. The male lead is overpowered. the romance is rushed, hollow, and shoved in as a replacement for actual development. It's not exciting anymore because the stakes are zero. You already know ML will always win, ML will always save her, and FL will always be "useless-but-lovable." This trope overpowered male lead + weak FL is getting old. this trope is basically fanservice packaged as romance now. That's why even when the visuals are pretty, the plot feels hollow and tired.
Damn, what an ending. This is one of the best dramas I've watched in 2025. The plot twists were insane, the cases were intriguing, and I was deeply immersed in each one. Plot aside, I can't even put into words how much I adore Li Landi what an actress. She portrayed her character with such poise and dignity. I think Shen Wan will remain one of my all time favourite FLs. So well written. The entire cast did a tremendous job, and I genuinely hope they get more work after this they deserve recognition. Lastly, the chemistry between Li Landi and Ao Rupeng was breathtaking. I'd love to see them together again.
Well… so finally our movie has ended and what a masterpiece it was. Truly, a work of art. The acting, the raw emotion, the chemistry between Jeon Yeo-been and Namkoong Min absolutely masterclass. Every glance, every pause carried weight. I’m honestly at a loss for words. Finishing it left me with that unique, aching emptiness that only great stories can give 😭 I need to see them in a lighthearted rom-com next just to heal a little from this emotional wreckage 🥹
I can't remember the last time I saw such powerful chemistry in a K-drama. Even when they're silent, their eyes speak volumes. The way they look at each other... it's pure yearning. This is truly one of the most beautiful love stories I've ever watched.
I knew this drama wouldn't disappoint me the wait was so worth it! It just keeps getting better with every episode. I'm completely obsessed. Qiao Qingyu and Ming Sheng... my two precious souls. I can't get enough of them!
Zhang Jingyi seriously has this quiet power in her acting that just gets to me every single time. She doesn't overdo anything, but somehow she still makes you feel everything. As Qiao Qingyu, she's just...incredible. The way she shows that hidden grief, the confusion, the way her character's trying so hard to hold it all together it feels so real. There's something about the way she plays these kinds of roles, like she gets them on a deeper level. She's honestly one of the few actresses who never feels like she's acting. It's like she just becomes the character. I love how natural and raw she is.
I really don't understand the hate this drama is getting. People judged Reborn just by the poster and assumed it was some fluffy, light-hearted romance and now they're rating it low because it's not what they expected. But honestly? That's on them. The trailer clearly hinted at the emotional depth, the thriller elements, the themes of loss, secrets, and justice. Even the synopsis pointed it out. If someone didn't take the time to watch the trailer or read the description, that's not the drama's fault. Criticize acting or plot if it's not your thing, fine but rating it low just because it wasn't a rom-com? That's unfair and honestly disappointing. This drama is handling difficult topics beautifully, and it deserves so much more appreciation than it's getting.
I honestly didn't expect Reborn to hit this hard. It's not your usual modern Cdrama it's gloomy, emotional, and carries a kind of quiet weight that stays with you. What I really appreciate is how they're handling the sensitive topics it's done with so much care and subtlety. Nothing feels forced or overly dramatic. Everything unfolds slowly and naturally, and it makes you feel. It reminded me of The First Frost in the way it completely pulled me in. Only six episodes in and I already know this one's special. I'm waiting for the rest like crazy. Honestly, the ratings are way too low it deserves so much more appreciation.
I don’t care what others say this show is genuinely amazing! The team dynamics are on point, and the comedy is absolutely GOLD. All the main leads are delivering brilliant performances, but Kim So-hyun really surprised me in this one. I especially loved her action scenes in Episode 1 she totally nailed it. I can see how much effort the entire cast has put into this drama. Park bogum's smile is cherry on the top 💘 Can’t wait for the upcoming episodes!
This is sooo good i am in love with park bogum's smile and all the action scenes even the osts are bangers which suits the drama i am immensely obsessed!
