Title Love Story in the 1970s Spoiler
Rating: 100000000/10 ⭐

This drama is truly amazing and has one of the most satisfying endings I’ve seen. The story is emotional, realistic, and beautifully shows how relationships change over time. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more because the ending wrapped up the characters’ stories in a meaningful way.

My Breakdown:

Main Couple

The main couple had a very beautiful ending. After everything they went through, their unit/room was finally returned to them. It was also very touching that Fei Ni was able to achieve her long-time dream of going to college. Seeing her dream come true made the ending even more satisfying.

Fei Ting and Lin Mei

Fei Ni’s brother Fei Ting and his wife Lin Mei also had a good character resolution. At first, their relationship with Lin Mei’s family—especially her brother—was not good. But in the end, their relationship improved and they were finally able to treat each other with understanding and respect.

Fang Mu Yang’s Family

Another storyline that ended well was the conflict within Fang Mu Yang’s family, particularly the issue involving his sister Fang Mu Jing and their mother. Their misunderstandings were resolved and they were able to forgive each other. It was a very heartwarming moment.

Ling Yin

Ling Yin, the woman Fang Mu Yang saved from suicide who pretended to be his girlfriend, had a sad ending. She divorced her husband Ye Feng because she chose another man. Unfortunately, she later discovered that the man was already married, which left her alone in the end.

Feng Lin

Feng Lin, the antagonist toward the main couple, also ended up alone because her boyfriend eventually broke up with her. Her storyline showed the consequences of her actions.

Overall Thoughts

What makes this drama special is how it balanced romance, family conflicts, and personal dreams. Almost every character had a clear resolution to their story. Some endings were happy, while others were bittersweet, but they all felt realistic.

The drama also did a great job showing the struggles of people during that time period while still focusing on love, growth, and forgiveness.

💬 Final thoughts:
A beautiful drama with a perfect ending. The characters’ stories were satisfying, emotional, and meaningful. Definitely one of the best dramas I’ve watched.

Jun Le's sudden kiss on Mai was wrong. He should have talked to her about his feelings, he should have confessed…
thats 50/50 Regarding sudden kisses: A kiss, even from someone close, should always be consensual. When someone kisses another person without asking for consent or giving them a chance to agree, they are violating that person's personal boundaries. This can leave the person who was kissed feeling shocked, violated, or even angry."

...accurately reflects Mai's reaction to Jun Lee's sudden kiss.

I don't know why, from episode 11 to 14, the writer focused so much on the story of the family of Xu Jun Le's…
True! With only four or six episodes left, valuable time has been wasted that could have been used to develop the main story.
