I thought it would get better....
I wanted to give it 1-star, but gave it more cause of the main leads. They really really tried but the story couldn’t be saved....
I dropped this drama at ep 10, came back, fast forwarded a lot of eps and managed to finally finish it and regret it. Why? Because I had really high expectations from this drama and was left utterly disappointed.
This isn't the actors fault, all of them are great. I have watched other dramas of Bai Lu and Joseph (who plays Mr. Bai) and they are great individually, but this drama wasn’t for them. The story was a messy puzzle.
The main characters Lord Siling and Mr Bai...what even? He betrays her, she stabs him and it goes on and on until the end of the drama. If there was a good story behind it all, I would still watch it. But this?
Why tf doesn't she wait for the guy to explain his side of the story? And then proceed with hating him? Through the starting eps until ep 21, I was so annoyed with Siling and the way she treated Mr Bai.
The one who first betrayed Heaven way was HER. She killed the drought dragon and then refused to bear the consequences? Wth?
Also they are supposed to be gods, supposed to be aloof, so why expect Mr Bai to feel sympathy for the humans every second of the day?
And the misunderstanding and miscommunication that drags on throughout the drama....damn....I don’t know what I was doing.
Also, why give so much screen time to the side characters? I understand showing more scenes of the second couple, but the third one? Fourth? Just why?
Anyways....I wouldn't recommend anyone watching this if they are looking for a good story. This is not for you. If you're looking for pretty faces, then yes, this drama is for you.
Watch for beautiful faces, costumes, scenery, CGI, but not for story, cause its boring af
