The positives: the cast is amazing, really good actors and they made the most of what they got to work with. It’s an entertaining watch, but not nearly as good as the first season. That being said, Netflix always knows how to ruin a good thing. The story is not as developed as it could have been, they condensed the entire WEBTOON into 8 episodes of 35 minutes. The struggles that Si-Eun goes through, the way he forms new friendships, the whole science based internal monologue in the fights, the winning on persistence, and having to fight through different levels of the union before the final boss can never fit in such a short season. It all felt rushed and superficial since the relations between characters were suddenly there and there was no real development like in S1.

I watched season 1 more than 1,5 years ago and it was one of the dramas that stuck with me the most. I was thoroughly impressed with the storyline, the visuals and the acting. I thought it was very original , very emotional, and very action packed. I read the WEBTOON after S1 and couldn’t wait for season 2.
I did enjoy watching it, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the wait.
