Good, but not great. Netflix ruins everything
The positives: the cast is amazing, really good actors and they made the most of what they got to work with. It’s an entertaining watch, but not nearly as good as the first season. That being said, Netflix always knows how to ruin a good thing. The story is not as developed as it could have been, they condensed the entire WEBTOON into 8 episodes of 35 minutes. The struggles that Si-Eun goes through, the way he forms new friendships, the whole science based internal monologue in the fights, the winning on persistence, and having to fight through different levels of the union before the final boss can never fit in such a short season. It all felt rushed and superficial since the relations between characters were suddenly there and there was no real development like in S1.I watched season 1 more than 1,5 years ago and it was one of the dramas that stuck with me the most. I was thoroughly impressed with the storyline, the visuals and the acting. I thought it was very original , very emotional, and very action packed. I read the WEBTOON after S1 and couldn’t wait for season 2.
I did enjoy watching it, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the wait.

So much potential, but dragged out too long
The premise is intriguing, but the execution falls short. A story about an upright prosecutor that comes across a completely unredeemable villain. The prosecutor ends up in prison sentenced to death, without any recollection of his memories of what happened to his wife and child. Piecing this together and eventually getting justice is where the show is heading. The story drags on for waaaaaay too long, the pace is so so slow, with a lot of corruption and unbelievable twists along the way. So many people end up dead, without any repercussions for the bad guys or proper investigations into what happened exactly.
Redeeming factor of this drama are the actors. Both the leads are incredible in their prosecutor and villain roles. The supporting cast also delivers big time. Still, I skipped over a lot of the episodes, since you can watch 10 minutes of the beginning, middle and end without missing anything major.

Could have been great, turned out annoying as hell
The male lead does great portraying the troubled, dangerous and mysterious ladykiller who may or may not have actually murdered someone. He is not a good person and is somewhat void of empathy or real emotions. He really brought the character to life, well done! The FL did alright in the beginning but as in a lot of K-dramas, the ladies turn into brainless idiots when it comes to romance. The constant back and forth between saying “I will never like you” and immediately showing up at his rooftop to confirm he’s not a terrible person is annoying to the point that I’m just skipping half the episode. What woman would date the guy that played her best friend and eventually caused her death? After the best friends passing I tried to finish one more episode, but unfortunately it all just got way too cringe.Redeeming point, the actor that plays the FLs brother is (as always) amazing! Most rounded character with actual range of emotions, brings some much needed lightness with the banter he has with his coworkers (the 2 that don’t hate him).
TL;DR: could have been great if the wildly unrealistic romance was just left out and this had focused more on the background mystery, psychological aspects of the trauma and consequences for their development in each character, and potential current murders
