Title Love Next Door Spoiler
If you’re wondering about the fuss, it’s really about people generalizing and dismissing others’ opinions. We’ve had many meaningful discussions about the drama, but now some are calling the fanbase toxic, without addressing the real issues like trolls or biased fans from other dramas attacking the comment section.

It’s okay not to like the drama, but insulting others for having a different opinion or thinking they have better taste isn’t fair. Just because someone enjoyed it and you didn’t doesn’t make anyone’s opinion more valid. And explaining parts of the drama doesn’t disrespect others it’s just part of enjoying discussions.

Finally, no one should dictate how much time others spend on MDL or any site. Some people enjoy engaging in discussions, and that’s perfectly fine.

I am in agreement with you. For me, this show was so sweet and overall adorable. It made me happy.
I agree with you! I giggled and smiled happily while watching this drama, though there were a few scenes that made me cry.

The ending dragged on way too long. I was quite bored, to be honest. Guess what, I am still seeing complaints…
Although I didn't feel that the ending dragged, I understand why some people felt it was rushed. This might be because there was no wedding or Moeum reunion. However, aside from that, I believe it wrapped up nicely.

I never had high expectations for "Love Next Door," but right from the start, it completely surprised me. Beyond the friends-to-lovers storyline, it skillfully wove in themes of family, friendship, and illness, which added a lot of emotional depth to the drama. These layers made the story more heartfelt, and the characters' journeys felt genuine. I also really enjoyed the family and friendship dynamics; they felt so real and added extra layers to the story. Of course, it had its flaws, and there were a few mistakes in the writing, but I loved it regardless. I’m really thankful for the great people I’ve connected with because of it.

What stood out to me most was how smoothly the shift from friends to lovers happened. Even as the romance grew, they never lost the core of their friendship, which felt so refreshing. I’m honestly surprised when people say they didn’t have chemistry because, for me, it was definitely there.

And as for the ending? It wasn’t disappointing at all! I liked that it ended on a happy note, but at the same time, it felt like the beginning of a new chapter for the characters. It gave the story a satisfying sense of closure while still leaving room for more. But now that it’s over, weekends are definitely going to feel a little boring without it!

Oh, and guess who changed her profile picture? Me! I did it as a little tribute to remember them.

Before the next episode airs, let me say this: *Love Next Door* has really grown on me. Honestly, Twitter seems a bit better than MDL for discussions these days! The characters have grown on me as I’ve gotten to understand everyone’s POV, and it’s been such an engaging watch. It’s been a healing drama for me with just the right amount of lighthearted moments and emotional depth. It’s actually a healing romcom, blending emotional growth and warmth, with characters overcoming their struggles while finding love. Their relationship has been realistic, and watching them heal together has been such a comforting experience.

I can’t believe we have to say goodbye so soon. The forced hate is really unfair; it’s not just about people being disappointed anymore, but rather that some seem to get annoyed over even the slightest mistake. I just wish the negativity could calm down aside from constructive criticism because I keep seeing accounts created solely to express what doesn’t align with the drama It deserves a better discussion space. We do not know how the last two episodes will turn out but i hope for a happy ending.

The pacing may not be lightning-fast, but that’s because it’s setting up for the emotional depth that pays…
Actually, those side plots can be important early on. They help build the world and characters beyond the leads, adding depth. Without them, the main story might feel flat or rushed. Plus, they can tie into the main plot later in surprising ways, making the payoff stronger and the leads' journey more rewarding.

I would put this comment in a review, but I haven't finished at it wants a score...so comment that will eventually…
The pacing may not be lightning-fast, but that’s because it’s setting up for the emotional depth that pays off later. It’s not about rushing to the good moments; it’s about savoring the buildup and the little nuances between the characters, which is what makes the chemistry so rewarding when it hits.

As for the yelling, it’s really not that loud. It’s more like normal neighborhood drama—stuff that happens when people are emotionally invested in their lives. The show gives off those slice-of-life vibes, so naturally, it’s not going to be a high-octane thriller. The volume fits with the tone, and honestly, it makes the characters feel real. It’s not just about sound; it’s about the authenticity of how conflicts arise in everyday situations.

The complaints about the soundtrack are subjective maybe it’s not a grand cinematic score, but it complements the setting without overpowering the scene. Sometimes simple music works better for a drama that’s more focused on interpersonal relationships than flashy spectacle.

And sure, maybe you’ve seen other technical stuff that could be improved, but this show is more about the heart and the quiet moments that build up over time. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and even though the episodes are longer, it gives the story room to breathe without rushing. If you’re skipping around, you might miss some of those subtle interactions that make the payoff so much better.

But honestly, if it’s not connecting with you, that’s totally fine you don’t have to force yourself to watch it. Not every show is going to click with everyone, and that’s okay For those of us enjoying the slow burn and neighborhood drama vibes, though, it’s hitting just right.

First of all, this comment is entirely subjective, and it's better to speak for yourself rather than assume everyone…
That's exactly why I said your comment is subjective, and I was simply expressing my own opinion back to you.

I never took it seriously, but your comment seemed to generalize everyone's views, which is why I responded. I can also disagree with you, I hope you understand that.

how long are yall gonna lie to yourselves that this is a good show? I know the leads are hot, trust me i watched…
First of all, this comment is entirely subjective, and it's better to speak for yourself rather than assume everyone is "lying to themselves." Personally, I've really enjoyed the dynamic between the leads as they transition from best friends to lovers. It feels natural and engaging, and their chemistry works well for me.

As for the illness being used in the plot, it adds depth to the story and highlights real life challenges. It isn’t just a gimmick it reflects struggles that some people genuinely go through, bringing awareness to these issues.

Also, not everyone watches a drama just for "hot" leads. People from all backgrounds, including Koreans or any other nationality, aren't "ugly." Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way, and the attraction to characters comes from much more than just appearance.

While the writing might have *mini flaws*, overall, I’ve found it thoroughly enjoyable and realistic. It's all about perspective, and mine has been positive.

Me too! I didn't skip a single episode, instead of long the episodes feel short 😭
I know, right, I really don’t want this to end so quickly 😭

This drama just keeps getting better and better for me I don’t skip a thing, and the hour-long episodes never feel too long because I’m so invested. No boring episodes, I'm loving this drama like no other 😍

My Gawd I felt butterflies watching episodes 11 and 12! The kiss in episode 12 was really sweet and genuine, especially since it’s just the beginning of their relationship. It feels like their connection is growing more naturally and intense 💋💗 . I really enjoyed this episode overall; the pacing felt just right, allowing us to savor their moments together.

The plot twist with Seunghyo’s mom’s friend was totally unexpected and had me laughing! I love how it added a fun layer to the story. His dad being such a loser in love is hilarious—it's a nice touch that keeps things light. Why did they have to end episode 12 like that? I need more 😼😭 I can't wait for their DATING ERA !!!
