honestly pure trash, clearly forced and unnecessary anxiety for viewers. They could have done so much more and base it outside the game don't know why we're watching the game again. the story was supposed to continue as his survival outside the game and how he would bring it down, could've included police and search parties for the island then a great fight scene at the island showing different groups to represent society to show people do actually care for the poor. could've included the husband or brother of a player and how they'd do everything to protect one another. honestly wasted 7 hours of my life. will watch season 3 but trust me to skip most of it.
I think/hope next week we will have a major time jump like 5 years and then the story starts, i think this is just the main characters origin story to build up for the main plot, ngl excited by the fast pase
i think they'll leave the lgbtq+ characters subplot open to show anyone who was different regardless of who they are suffered prosecution. This is to show they just wanted to be anyone they chose to be and love whoever they wanted to love regardless of their status/lgbtq but they can't because of society
for those expressing frustration about loopholes go watch a documentary it's a drama, story for us to watch and relax after a long day, yall need to chill and let the characters do their thing
I think the identical twins story is the more likely scenario. That the storyteller courtesan gave birth to identical…
yeah the charecter names is different on MDL but on asianwiki it makes more sense it showing him as having the same surname as the magistrate and the magistrate also has a biological son (maybe) with the same last name and third syllable as the twin (the one in gov position)
on asianwiki the actor Choo Yeong-Woo is listed as having two roles - Cheon Seung-Whee (storyteller identity)…
correction: found a charecter chart on twitter saying that Sung Yoon-Gyum's brother is in love with Cha Mi-Ryeong and Sung Yoon-Gyum was married to/in love with original Ok Tae Young
on asianwiki the actor Choo Yeong-Woo is listed as having two roles - Cheon Seung-Whee (storyteller identity) and Song Seo-In (true name) - Sung Yoon-Gyum
Sung Yoon-Gyum also has a brother called Sung Do-Gyum (both are sons of the magistrate)
i have two theories about roles played by Choo Yeong-Woo: - the same person pretending to be different people (unlikely because of the detailed families on each side) - the courtesan gave birth to twins, one was was forcefully taken from her which led to her death and the other became an orphan which was adopted by magistrate, it seems like he's unmarried so maybe he was in love with her and that's why he adopted her other son and kept his identity a secret to the stop the governor from taking him or he felt sorry for him after finding him by chance but i feel like the ladies of the "brothel" would have told him about his twin because they would know. Also i believe the magistrate's son might be gay or is in love with a courtesan (possibly Cha Mi-Ryeong) hence the fake marriage, which could be to protect the FL because he definitely knows he has a twin, he was watching his brothers performance and he was lurking around FL house
i have feeling this will have a happy ending because the heroin helps others and we love a kdrama karma. So if they are twins then it has to be a loveless marriage for the storyteller to be with her guilt free and be reunited with his brother.
i feel like the moral of this story is everyone is pretending to be something else because they can't be true to themselves because of class norms, hence why they all have troubles to overcome them to be with the ones they truly love.
anyway i make up theories when i'm bored so i wouldn't deep my theories lmao
Can you please tell me what happened at the end? Sad ending or happy ending? Will they be together and live happily?
it is a happy ending and they do end up together but after going through a lot, that's if they follow the novel exactly, the blackmailer is sa eon uncle as far as i can remeber and sa eon is actually a fake sa eon who assumed his identity after original sa eon "died" and fake sa eon actually loves hui ju but family is the real problem and they keep medeling he actually married her to rescue her from her horrible family
