This drama has caused me so much pain that I think I have developed some kind of fear, I cried my eyes out right from the beginning to the end, like what is so wrong in giving your audience and characters a happy ending? I've been so traumatized that I have to search for their shows or any clips that have them together to calm myself down and remind myself that all this is just an act and they are fine in real life.
Whoever thinks they don't have chemistry is a big-time hater, you watch just to criticize, where's the enjoyment in that? I watched this drama just because Liang Jie was in it and she did not disappoint. I don't care what anyone says about her, she's one of my favorite actresses and nothing will change that.
For me, this drama is a masterpiece even if its ending was too extreme for all the suffering they went through from the beginning to end, i wish they would have another drama together again and please, hope it will end with a happy ending.
The cast; their acting, everything was great even if it was slow and some scenes felt too short or too long. I wish I could get that first-time-watching experience again. Miss you White Olive Tree; you were one of a kind.
I don't care what anybody says, this drama is freaking great and I'm loving every moment of it. If we compare every drama to what we have watched before, then we won't be watching kdramas or cdrama and those leaving without watching, it's your loss, bye.
I'm going to rate this 8.5 I liked everything about the plot, the only thing that turned me off was the lack of romance but it was expected for a Chinese republican drama. I like the cast, though some scenes felt hasty but anyway, I think they acted their roles perfectly, especially the main couple, they were so cute together, I wish there were more of them, what was given wasn't enough,
