I tried watching it, but the "reset" dynamic every time the protagonist died was too much for me, and I dropped it in episode 5. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

I loved that, unlike other transmigration dramas, here they had their happy ending both inside the book and in the real world... Although they have not shown us much of that part (something they do not usually do in these dramas), I liked that in the world of the book they had their happy ending and then they meet again in the real world to continue with their story 🥹 Normally in transmigration dramas the protagonists only get their happy ending when they return to the real world.

I had very high expectations about this drama, because I had already seen the short version and I really liked it (I still do not see the donghua). Actually, I am not a super fan of transmigration dramas, because the ending is always the same... But this time they made it incredible and although it is the same cliché, the way they executed it and the chemistry between the protagonists made it work perfectly. For me it is a 10/10 and if I have to "complain" anything, it is that now I feel like seeing them perform together in a modern drama! 🥹

Title Glory
I just want to say THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A REAL HAPPY ENDING THIS TIME 😭💜. As always, I loved Hou MingHao's acting, and Nazha was incredible too; I was really surprised because she's not one of my favorite actresses. The story is very good, and the chemistry between the two leads is lovely. Personally, I liked the first half of the drama more (after episode 20, the plot got a little boring), and I would have loved it if Shaobao had trusted Jianglai a bit more and not kept him in the dark every time she planned something... but I enjoyed it a lot from beginning to end.

Title Glory Spoiler
I knew that Yan Bailou was very suspicious ever since he "magically" forgot the idea of wanting to be a monk as soon as he saw Rong Shaobao... Besides, that thing about being so kind and not getting into trouble with anyone was very exaggerated, nobody is that good.

🛑🛑🛑to those who finish this drama answer my question pleaseQuestion1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4.…
I haven't finished it, but knowing Cheng Yi, it's definitely a sad ending. This drama isn't a romance, so don't expect chemistry or kissing scenes.

Yes! I am left with all the good moments and beautiful interactions of both Hong Ye with Xiao Yao and MingHao with Seven Tang. Hopefully one day they will do another drama together.

I agree with you again. Even if the story is focused from the perspective of Xiao Yao, it was only right that Hong Ye should have more presence, because as you say, he is an important character. But well, in spite of everything, both MingHao and Seven Tang showed off with their performance and the drama was pretty good and enjoyable.

Exactly! They were able to skip not-so-relevant scenes from other episodes and keep those that mattered. I don't know if it was because of restrictions or time limits, but they did not handle those elements well. Moreover, the story has always revolved around Xiao Yao and not so much in Hong Ye. 😔

Yes, the truth is that their third life was their best, even until the moment when they both remember their first life. That I would actually have loved to see more of Hong Ye dealing with that sense of guilt. But beyond that, the last two episodes ruined it, everything happened too quickly and they did not allow time to assimilate anything.

Title The Unclouded Soul Spoiler
(Spoiler alert!) Finishing up all episode 33-40 from late last night until today. I have so much words to say…
I agree with you, and I'd add that (for me) the ending was happy for Xiao Yao, but not so much for Hong Ye. I felt he needed more of the ending for me to truly say "his ending was happily," because otherwise, I feel like his sacrifice was in vain. I don't know, I don't usually like it when they use the time travel element to reverse everything at the end, because it leaves me with more questions than answers.

Is it happy ending?
For me it was a sad ending, or maybe a little of both, but it depends on each person's perspective.
On The Unclouded Soul Jan 7, 2026
I don't know how to feel about that ending. I don't know if this would be classified as a sad ending, for me it was. And... I like sad endings, but this one... I don't know... they didn't even give me time to process what happened and cry (because I love crying with dramas). I didn't hate it, but I feel like something was missing.
