I hate Tong… Is hate an execration? Yes. Will I still use it? Also yes. I just really don’t get his thought process in any of the scenes 😭 His solutions, problems, and opinions all sound straight-up weird to me.
The first big thing that irritated me was the issue he had with Mark because of Tonkla 😭 Mark told him to be cautious since he could possibly be manipulated by Nakan… And Tong’s response? “Well, I trust him.” Like—what does trust have to do with the possibility of being hypnotized??? I mean, great that you trust him, but that’s not really going to help with the actual problem, is it 😂😭
And now: “Well, I’m going to die one day anyway, so just kill me now”? 😭 Then, when he didn't agree because Mark didn’t want him dead, they make a plan to escape— But the second he leaves, Tong just changes his mind and goes back?! And with that, he ruins the entire effort of getting him away from Thara 😭
Also—can we talk about Nakan’s sudden 180 from full-on villain to “actually, I just wanted revenge” guy?! And what about Tonkla… did they really think we forgot about him dying at the hands of Nakan???
