This fb page likes talking nonsense. I used to be a fan of that page during the Addicted era. They shared a lot of BL series news and also gave rational reviews either good or bad. But then, when the page is growing more audience, they start to talk crap, keep bashing and making fun of every single BL drama irrationally. They will only praise the drama if they get paid from the production company to promote it.

Agree. From the beginning, i was thinking that this series was just 'okay' until ep. 2 "Jiang Tian's very moment" came out and surprised me. Then, I started to feel interesting! Afterwards, when we thought no more JT's moment after ep. 8, then they showed us an unexpected JT's very moment again in ep. 11! These JT's moments really made this series so special!

i don't think IQIYI is the main platform or investor. If IQIYI is the main platform, they won't give their series to the competitors like WeTV, Netflix etc, to air this.
Actually, by referring to the credits, there is either a Hong Kong or Beijing entertainment company (the investor) has bought the intellectual property right of this novel to produce it as a series. The company is either having their own artiste department or collaborated with another artiste management company, so of course they would prioritize and recommend their own artistes who are Dongqin (Eric) and also teacher Jenny to star and act in this film.
However, they can't produce it in China, so they found a film making company in Taiwan with Director Patrick to realize this project. Therefore, basically Director Patrick is appointed and hired by them to produce this series.
OMGGG EVEN THE MINOR CHARACTER, the actress of Jiang Tian's mom said "looking forward to the SECOND journey" (written in Chinese) and she also wrote in English as "NEXT journey" on her IG. I think the crew is starting to gather all the actors back!

First of all, this series is not popular in China, not many people care about this project there. So, we don't have to worry so much.
Secondly, this will not affect Dongqin's career. Do you see the career of Johnny Huang and Timmy Xu from Addicted (a banned Chinese BL series) is being affected? Not at all. They are very famous now in China with lots of top shows and top dramas.
Thirdly, they already have one magazine appearance now. I believe there will be more in the future. I also think that they will organize a or some fans meeting(s) in the near future.
Fourthly, whether they are giving us fanservice or not, that's not important, I'm glad that they did not promote this series by giving fanservice through live streaming, a bunch of events or behind the scenes. They truly want us to just focus and enjoy this meaningful and beautiful story until the end. From what I know, since S1 is ended now, they will start releasing some behind the scenes.
Fifthly, the target audience of this series is Taiwanese and international viewers, hence, whether S2 can happen or not is really depend on us! Hope we don't get affected by some people who keep pouring cold water to this series and viewers! HAVE FAITH! Do what we can/should do for this to happen! LOVE WINS!
After reading the comments here in these two days, again, I want to say, lots of people are so harsh to a good production, just like the teachers are so harsh to Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian even though they always score with flying colours.
A doctor who has saved 100 people but then he failed to save one patient, then the people will put a blame on him saying him as a bad doctor, is this fair?
