Lin Shobai's mention of gold bars and Liu's reaction was hilarious. I love how Lin Shobai is written as both witty and street-smart. He’ll throw in a clever joke, but always gets the job done. It adds a refreshing layer to his character. Major kudos to Chen Zheyuan for bringing that charm and sharpness to life on screen—his portrayal really elevates the role.

Episode 36-Lin Shobai cleverly used Liu's greed to turn the tables. It's hard to take Liu seriously, but that’s always been his role—he was mainly there to keep Shrike in check, and their deep-rooted animosity only intensified over time. Shrike’s wife, Xiao Yun, had her moments too. She wanted a child, and it seemed like even the ruthless Shrike was coming around to the idea, as shown in the sketch he drew of her—he had only ever drawn his ex-wife before, but now he drew his current wife. And , she died. His sketches seem cursed. She had a more significant role, and honestly, I don't understand why Xioman is in the lead when it should be Xu Wei and Shrike after Lin Shobai and Director Lu. The build-up for the climax is in place, and I’m eager to see how the final episodes play out.
The confrontation scene of Lin Shobai and Xu Wei, the fight that followed to Lu and LSB saluting their family members was so well done! The parade scene teared me up and the confrontation + action was very well shot. A masterpiece scene from the show. Gonna rewatch it. Appreciation to the Actors and crew involved.
