To avoid more spoilers, for those who watched Princess Agent, there's a reason they titled this "Ice River Rebirth" in Mandarin. Think of it as Season 2, just with different actors playing the same characters (if they are still in the story, and I think ML's name changed here from Princess Agents), along with newer characters being added.

And at first, the anger was directed at the production crew, but for some reason, some of the FL's fans on chinese social media platforms decided to defend the crew by blaming the school, the students, and the cat and thus drew negative attention to the FL and her fandom. Just putting it out here first in case people think the FL's fans are being innocently dragged into this.

100% agree with you. I don't see why international viewers who are only interested in watching cdramas should be pulled into fandom wars happening in the c-ent industry, or why those types of fights should spill over into the international space. In addition, most international viewers have no idea what goes on in the c-ent fandom space anyways. Personally, I have no time to care about it and honestly better things to worry about. I prioritise dramas over what a celerity's fans are up to now.

He has admitted to liking group dynamics and group spirit (团魂). I don't think he deliberately seeks these kind of scripts out, but the chances of him liking and picking these sort of scripts is higher. Out of the 4 historical dramas he has acted in as the male lead, all of them except Story of Pearl Girl have group spirit. The only reason he agreed to act in SOPG is because the production team asked him as a favour after their originally agreed upon ML bailed, and he liked Yan ZiJing's character.
You can see that he likes group dynamics from variety shows like The Truth, where he loved the dynamics enough to stay for 3 seasons and however long it will run for.

Most of his concert outfits are rented. If I recall correctly, he said the pink with denim jeans outfit was specifically designed for him. But the others were brands offering him a selection that he can choose from to rent. But he does buy most of his other outfits that you see him wear to music stages, variety show recordings, etc.

They just filmed the last episode yesterday and had the wrapping up ceremony. So Italy and Spain is it for this season. Whether or not they decide to have a 2nd season is still unknown.

For those who are worried to watch it because the styling looks similar to Prisoner of Beauty, don't worry. Although the look is similar, LYN still manages to act a completely different feeling so it doesn't feel like you are watching Wei Shao in another drama.

That's because Nan Heng's other identity as Li ShiLiu does not exist in the original script, so she doesn't know he is actually the ML

You might as well watch them all now. This cast only filmed until Season 2 so there will not be a Season 3 unless another production team decides to undertake it. But if that happens, it will most likely not be the original cast because 2 out of 3 of them are now more expensive to hire.

Well...in the original novel, Di Lin dies. But this novel is pretty long, so I don't know where they will end Season 2 at. But I will probably suggest waiting for all of Season 2 to finish airing, then you can watch it all at once XD

Technically, this role will be the same person acting as two different identities. But yes, I am looking forward to his portrayal in this drama. Also the storyline I've seen from the trailers is my favourite kind of loopy

Yes, after his contract with YY ended, which if I recall correctly is 2019...? (someone correct me if I'm wrong) he created his own studio with a small group of staff and basically have autonomy to his projects. Which is why he is free to pick and choose, as well as he can say or do things like direct his fans better or refute false rumours without having to consult anyone, unlike most artists in the entertainment industry.

ManMan does not know about the painting, or Wei Yan's feelings for her. Otherwise, she would not have accepted and kept the incense ball he gave her. She thought it was just a gift between family with no other intentions. But yes, that painting is very inappropriate in regards to the way it was painted, and the fact that Wei Yan hung it in his bedroom. During that period, it is unethical to have a painting of an unmarried woman in another man's bedroom, let alone a married one, and on top of that, a family member.

I am ethnically Chinese and I still find him very handsome. Most of the hate he gets in China are because he doesn't have the pretty face most locals like when it come to idol drama actors, and he values actual acting over looking good on screen, so it is easier for haters to pick bad looking screenshots and share that.
However, he is also doing extremely well for not having an agency backing him because he is naturally a good and charismatic person. From his singing to acting to livestreams to personal life, there's no materials for haters to use so they can only attack his looks, and purposefully edit clips of his livestream to make it seem like he is always talking bad about people (which rarely has an effect since it's easy for other people to post the complete video of his livestream and proof haters wrong).
On top of that, you get people paying money to shade him, which is common for agencies to do if they find other celebrities a threat. This is to supress their opponents' popularity and to promote their artists.
