Ok final thoughts..The plot was so ridiculous which i usually love but this one really needed to pick a lane.…
The female lead had little control over the situation, especially since she didn’t fully remember the events. The drama, rooted in its food-centered webtoon origin, balances both absurd and serious moments. Despite its quirks, it was enjoyable to watch. While the male lead devoted his life to revenge, her presence altered the course of everything.

I don't know if it's just what the character is written like, but Yoona's acting is taking me out 😭😭😭Her…
The romance in her character came from her uncertainty at first about whether he truly liked her. As the story went on, she found herself thinking about him more, not wanting to leave his side, a trying to stop him from becoming a tyrant . In my view, Lee Chae Min’s character was written with more complexity, she still did justice to her role.

The writer truly impressed me with this drama the acting, the chemistry, the story, and the food, I loved it all. Watching it has been such a wonderful experience, the ending left me satisfied. Huge thanks to the PD for casting Lee Chae Min; his acting range really stood out. Yoona also delivered an excellent performance with the supporting characters. The discussions here and on other platforms made it even more enjoyable, and it’s been a pleasure sharing this journey with all of you.

I understand why you might have expected it to go differently. As you mentioned, it could be due to the limited time they had together after confessing their feelings. I also felt the competition dragged on a bit, though I did enjoy all the food that was shown. As for the ending, I’m not sure how it will be handled, I hope it turns out to make sense.

Eighty percent of this show is just the female lead cooking and the male lead eating—that’s the crux. Don’t…
I made a typo in my earlier comment I meant the drama heavily focuses on food, which is its central theme. i felt the drama is different from most historical dramas precisely because of this storyline. I don’t usually comment on this page to be labeled such names , that slip was my mistake.

The book’s inspiration is still centered around food, and from the preview of episode 11, it highlights a key moment where food plays a significant role in shaping his perspective and leaving a strong impression on him. I haven’t come across any posts suggesting their love was meant to be overwhelmingly intense in my view, their relationship grew through understanding and truly getting to know each other. Perhaps it’s because she didn’t spend enough time with him, or maybe it’s his wish for her to remain in his world that led to the time travel.

It’s adapted from a manhwa, and unlike other historical dramas, it focuses heavily on cooking. They may share the same genre, but each has a different storyline.

I don't see the next two episodes proving to me that the leads have the relationship and chemistry to support…
They’ve already been together since earlier episodes the build-up started around episode 4 when he began noticing her and her cooking, while the FL showed care for him in return. The romance is a subplot, unfolding in a slow-burn style, but it’s also woven into the main theme.

It's sad when the chemistry doesn't fully translate into the kiss, because indeed what the hell was that?!! I…
Their chemistry is still very much alive i t feels more like a matter of direction. The king comes across as more straightforward, but it’s not as if she’s resisting him. Even the kiss was styled in a classic sageuk way, with the camera pulling back quickly.

I totally agree that she should have been considering the purge dilema a lot sooner. I’ve been underwhelmed…
This drama isn’t focused solely on romance, which explains why that aspect isn’t heavily emphasized. Still, the leads already showed clear chemistry from the very first episode, the story doesn’t need to overdo it. As for why she hasn’t told him about the past, it makes sense most wouldn’t take her words seriously, and she’s still missing key details about his history.

I agree i wouldn't be happy if it ends this way

This drama has been entertaining so far, though I do wish it had a few more episodes and it’s an adaptation, the director seems to be staying close to the original, I hope it keeps its consistency until the end. The focus on cooking is one of the best parts it makes the food look so good that you almost want to taste it yourself.

Lee Chae Min and Yoona's chemistry has been directed really well. I had doubts about them at first, but their acting has been a perfect 10. The supporting cast acting is good , and Kang Hana deserves special mention. She pulls off her villain role with so much presence that she’d easily fit into more bold, boss-type characters in the future.

The confession of their feelings came at the right time. If it had happened earlier, it might have ended up being just sweet scenes . Now that it’s happened, I actually wish there were more moments between them they deserve it.

Enjoyable episode. The competition was very well handled, without denigrating either country. I like the wholesomeness…
I still have little hope on this
