They almost need to. The movie is proving to be a "gateway drug" into the world of Kdramas for many people. Plus, there are several significant Kdrama/movie actors in the movie, so it helps with their biography.

I suspect the low ratimgs have somethimg to do with Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. It started first amd had taken Korea by storm before CQ aired its forst episode.
This is one of those dramas that will be a lot of fun, I suspect, however it will REQUIRE you to check your reality at the door. It is not making the least effort to have any real-world grounding.
If you can do that, be ready for a wild ride is my prediction. If you can't, you might want to watch something else.

MDL reviews tend to be unreasonably harsh and it's been much worse of late. This is one of our favorite and most re-watched dramas. It's a great story with wonderful chemistry. Oh, and the best tango in a drama ever. :-D
Yeah. It looks like it is off Viki for now. I did a search, and it *looks* like it might be coming to Netflix. It isn't there, but it had a title page and a "Set Reminder" button. It is also available on Tubi.
Wait, whats a modern double barelled shotgun doing in Joseon? The shotgun doesn't even look l9th century.
I pointed that out to my wife. That was a *very* modern over-and-under trap shotty. There's been other anachronisms we've noticed, but I just can't remember them at midnight as I write this...
For those who read the webtoon... Should we be anticipating a happy ending to this? Where my life is at, just now, I really don't want a sad ending or even "bittersweet."

In my case, I loved the first ... oh ... 8 episodes. It went down the slippery slope of excessive melodrama and angst after that, through perhaps the first third of the final episode.
I'd put it at a 6, on the better side of average. An okay watch if you have the time, but nothing you'll watch again.
