I mean, it was pretty clear there would be a simp character from the title and description, but in this case I do not think he is lacking in self respect. He knows what he likes and what he wants. They are doing a pretty good job communicating so far, especially considering it's only episode two. The foot scene felt like the hook in a lot of ways. I think it was important to establish both characters desires. I feel like a little empathy goes a long way, whether in real life or towards a fictional character. He absolutely will burn the world for him, in his own way.

Every time it showed the web page picture of the company president with the white background I nearly spat my drink out across my screen. I also feel enamoured with these two and vaguely jealous of a depressed unemployed man. How do you feel?
I went in with a lot of preconceived notions about how toxic this was going to be, and I am confused because to me it doesn't seem to be what the reviews are saying? Are we watching the same show? I'm not going to argue that it's healthy, but it's really not all what people are making it out to be.
