I really enjoyed the first 2/3 of this, I liked the actors and I liked watching their relationship develop. I didn't find the flashbacks confusing at all, for me they were the best part.
But the whole plot with the saesang and her brother was really weak and shifted the direction of the show in a way that didn't do it any favours. Also frustrating to watch Sae Byeok keep all the letters in the house.. they both live in and have Ha Nueal stumble upon them in not one, but two timelines(essentially). like okay, you don't want to go to the police so at least hide the letters properly lol. But do go to the police because there has already been one attempt made on your lovers life and your father literally died. And don't they screen their mail in the prison? like even if the brother takes it out with him, you would think they would check it. Also sheesh, that brother agreed to do a murder mighty quick. I'm annoyed. I think they could have gone for a more grounded conflict for the couple and they could have reached the same place emotionally in a much less convoluted way.
reading the first line of the summary over and over again trying to figure out if Kaji is ace, only to finally read the second part and then the first part properly and realise I need to get some sleep.
I'm intrigued. I wonder if it will be a slow burn friends to lovers, or if they will speed run through the established friendship to to the steamy sexual tension infused sports ball moment. I really kind of hope we get thrown in the middle.
I don't know what is going on with Japanese BLs, but lately they are so bland. These boys were not the best actors,…
I'm suprised you used 10 Dance as an example of exceptional JBL. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but the romantic development really let me down. it felt stifled. Honestly, of the two, I prefer this because it was really enjoyable to watch two characters flirt and take photo's and bum around a beach side town. There are so many diverse JBL out there, but hey, if you prefer to just watch chinese BL, that is okay too.
just watched episode one and man did it take me a hot minute go figure out the central plot. Anyway, I'm here because of a gif of TutorYim kissing in Wuxia costume so here I will stay.

I hope to see the actors again in something else.
