This was a strange ride because I was loving the first few episodes and then suddenly skipping huge sections and most of the b plots. Did not care for the villain arc at all, so boring.

Opposite experience, I was unsure about When Oranges Fall from the pilot but I LOVED Almond and Progress in this. Of course, both are great 🍊 🧡 It took some getting used to seeing Progress with hair though 🤣

I feel like Nut would play a toxic character sooo well

They really do be wasting the potential of these two. IMO THK has been JD best so far. In saying that, I love My Dear Daddy 🤣

I thought it was pretty nicely paced. if anything, the second half dragged a little for me. What I love about Japanese dramas is they are shorter and stick to the point, not wasting time on filler. For FFL I felt like we got a really good picture of who these characters are and their relationship with each other. The younger actors were cute though, and it would have been nice to see more of them. For the intimacy, Japan is less heavy on skinship than other countries, so maybe that is what you're feeling possibly? In any case, I thought because both the leads are quite stubborn and competitive, even with their emotions, it makes sense that they were holding back with each other. Even with the emotional conclusion and the growth in communication between them in the ending, they still have a long way to go.

I don't think I have ever been more invested in a pilot.

This is so funny! the acting is great. I love it.
