I'm so whipped by Su Chang He. Now, I want more Chang Hua Sen dramas.

I don’t understand why Ming Yi let Chao Yuan live even after knowing he’d activate the Heaven Devouring Array. Then later, they’re scrambling to stop him — but they were the ones who let him go in the first place. It would’ve made sense if Ming Yi spared him out of hope that he might turn back from evil, but it was clear as day that there was no redemption left. Even Ming Yi acknowledged that their paths had diverged. So why spare him? Just so he could become the final boss? It doesn’t make sense.

I’ve watched several of Bai Lu’s dramas, so I’ve become pretty familiar with her voice—or at least the voice actor who usually dubs her. But in this drama, the dubbed voice just doesn’t sit right with me. It really gets on my nerves. It doesn’t feel like Bai Lu at all.

I never had a problem with the female lead—until episode 23. Now, I’m not sure I can still like her character. Unlikable, yes, but, I do understand where her actions are coming from. She’s treating the script she read in the real world as if it’s set in stone—and up until now, it’s never proven her wrong. Every iconic scene has played out exactly as written, so from her perspective, her tragic end feels inevitable. She’s desperate, clinging to any chance of survival—for herself and her family—and that fear is driving everything she does.

Still, my heart breaks for the male lead. Unexpectedly, I really enjoy the story, and there’s something refreshingly different about it compared to other transmigration-themed dramas.

While waiting for this, lets watch Deep Lurk, a thrilling modern spy drama by Cheng Yi, which is airing now on…
It's a must watch for fans of spy drama and Cheng Yi. It's fast-paced with solid storyline. Mind boggling until the end.

Haha! I swear I would not watch any of his dramas for 3 years.

That makes sense but he could have explored it. He has ways to test it out. But then, I guess, with a fast-paced storyline like this, it would be more interesting with Ling Han dead. He was pinned as Kunwu for several episodes, and with him dead, put many theories in disarray. The suspense just got better.

I suspect there was another sub-plot that is related to him and his backstory. But I think that arc was part of…
It's likely the case because now that this is cut, I feel like Yun Hong Qi is an unnecesary anomaly. His character does not add value to the plot. Too bad, the actor is outstanding in expressing different layers of emotions. It's just my minor nitpick. The story in general is well-written.

Right. I didn't mean that he had a change of heart because Hong Shen hinted he was Kunwu. He had a change of heart even before that as the last line of his letter indicates, which, he had written prior. It's plausible to take Hong Shen as an enemy but Ling Han is brilliant, cut above the rest (relatively). So, he would have caught on when Hong Shen hinted that he suspects someone else. Hong Shen is equally brilliant if not more, so, I think their could have been an alliance. I find that he acted out of character when he dismissed this totally.

With only four episodes left, we’ve been introduced to another Kunwu suspect. But what if, after everything that’s happened, the real Kunwu turns out to be Yun Hong Qi? Epic! How would you take it? 😅

If Ling Han had a change of heart before the church incident, it would make more sense for him to ally with Yun Hong Shen, especially since Hong Shen had already hinted that he knew Ling Han was not the real Kunwu, but someone else. Given this, it’s puzzling that Ling Han would still choose to play the part, sneak in the church, and attempt to retrieve the codebook. All of this happened after his apparent change of heart. Furthermore, during the process, Ling Han even shot at Hong Shen, who only survived due to a bulletproof vest( was it a vest?) . This sequence of events doesn’t add up.

This is a well-written and well-executed drama. Every episode is engaging. My only frustration is Yun Hong Qi. This character is impulsive and lacking in judgment. Although he often believes himself to be clever and capable, his actions consistently undermine the larger plan. A prime example is his addition of unnecessary characters to the torn logbook, which only complicates matters, and his ill-conceived attempt to attack Mi Lan and Zong Fang, which accomplishes nothing but further chaos.
