Episode 2 is goood!! I think they shouldn't have overloaded all the info from Episode 1 cause I got all confused but I think it flowed and was explained better in Ep 2. The beginnings of the romance and snippets of memories from Lee Kang and Yeonwol's life was cute, but I'm excited to see how they'll fall in love again, especially as he can't seem to let her be harmed if he can help it.
Also, the cinematography is amazing. The scenes are a visual treat, adding to the wholesome experience.
The first ep feels a little slow since it explained and exposed all the main plot points right at the get go, but we get splashes of comedy here and then from outstanding peddler, Park Dal. It's funny though how they exposed the villain, the red string and crown princess right at the start hahha. I love the chemistry so far between Prince Lee Kang and Princess (cos I only got sibling vibes between Sejeong and Taeoh during BTS promotions hahaha don't shoot me)
"not everyone who feels wronged makes the wrong choices" Ohhh that cut like a knife. I feel so sorry for such…
Same! Like why am I actually teary eyed over that director?! The way this show is written is that there's really no inherently evil characters and I love that
I am not sure if you've actually been paying attention but the questions you've listed have literally been answered in the drama, even before Episode 10. I am surprised you are at Ep 10. Tbh, at this point, I don't think it's any helpful for you to keep watching if it hasn't kept your attention.
how is the romance in this one? any kissing scenes? š
Great! Only first leads have kissed but they are not dead fish kisses, so you will not be disappointed. They seem to act the most age appropriate romance in kdramas (which means no unnecessary conflicts because of miscommunication). The conversations are *chef's kiss*.
I am really enjoying this drama. Can we talk about that kiss and the leafing up to it. Wow, now that's a kiss.
I love the whole nervousness and teary-eyed expression Yongju had while trying to confess, and Minju's smile when she says, "I love you" and gives him a peck, like he can't believe that it was happening.
And of course the kiss! What strikes me is how they've embraced each other tighter this time when they were finally sure of their feelings, in contrast to their first kiss when Yongju was caught off guard and still unsure of what she feels.
I respect everyone's opinion but whoever calling it boring and saying negative stuffs about it??? Y'all just have…
Same! Like if you don't like it, then okay, you don't need to watch. Let us enjoy what we enjoy and I can just gatekeep this good thing if they'll just be spouting nonsense. After Ep 8, I've grown to accept that this will not be everyone's cup of tea. I will advice on crucial points if they're open to continue, but not if it's obvious that it's not their thing.
I feel like we hardly ever get such cool FLs in kdramas, but Chae Yong Ju is so endearing and charming. I love…
Same! I know we want a Yoon Min Ju in our lives but if you think about it, he wouldn't necessarily be drawn to her without her humble, get going attitude. He didn't just miraculously fell into her lap and fell in love with her beauty, he didn't like her at first but she got him out of his cove with her sincerity. She 'manifested' a man like him thru her actions, now it got me thinking that I should be putting in the work instead of waiting for the universe to happen.
honestly, i started watching this because of sejeong. i wasn't expecting so much from the plot synopsis when they first announced it, but Ep 8 just completely changed my view on this drama. my initial thoughts went like this:
Ep 1: ohh this isn't the fast paced, hook you from the start drama like BP. i felt like it can be turn off for most as it was a little boring Ep 2: we're getting somewhere. interesting but the humor can fall flat sometimes Ep 3 and 4: ohh this is cute, i guess this is more calm and feel good vibe. i'll enjoy this while watching sejeong. i love the mature take on romance and the intuitive characters. seems like a harmless romcom Ep 5 and 6: we're getting the romance, the chemistry is chemistrying! Ep 7: DEVELOPMENT, FLUFF, AND A KISS?!?! the backstory unfolding was such a wonderful watch and the communication between them. second couple redeemed themselves, i love them now Ep 8: WOW. THE CHARACTERS. THE ROMANCE. THE WRITING. THE DIALOGUE. Everything completely took my breath away. The sad didn't feel sad just because it's sad, it felt sad but at the same liberating. I felt satisfied while watching that end scene (while crying too!)
What an emotional rollercoaster! Just when I thought it'll be smooth sailing from then on, the last bit sucker punched me.
As much as I would like grandma to live, I think it was the needed catalyst to complete Yongju's development full circle. We got her acknowledging that she doesn't need to feel guilty saving Minju, coming to terms with her feelings and wants and acknowledging it, and now she's managed to shed that "i'm okay" facade (even just in front of Minju) and cry her heart out. When Minju cried for her and she burst out, oh my tears just fell out. I just want to protect her, protect them.
And on the date scenes, I think this was one of first times I got teary-eyed from a romantic gesture? When Minju gave her the flowers and said, "Flowers are something you like, Yongju. I'll help you discover everything that you like. To make up for the time you spent not being yourself, I'm going to find everything you like."
Wow. I am so glad they found each other.
I just love Yongju and Minju. At first, it seemed like they were cutout versions of previous characters, but they're much much more complex than I realized. They feel and act like rational human beings, instead of characters simply brought out from imagination.
this drama has made me giggly and smiley soooo much! i love love love how they tackled issues with maturity and emotional intelligence. Not one character is actively evil by default (except maybe the planning team lead but we'll see), at the end of the day, everyone is just a human being trying to make do with what they have.
i'm learning to appreciate areum and chanhwi, this episode did wonders for them. areum is just a little elsa, needing a little bit of love.
and yongju! she's been through so much alone, it's no wonder she's a little detached when it comes to taking care of herself and accepting help from others. but the good thing is, she didn't let what happened to her grandma stop her from being a good person, although her personal needs have taken a step back.
and the little treat at the end! yongju's supposed to be a no boyfriend since birth but why are you kissing like a pro???
On ep 1 but not loving it. Iām surprised by the director, I thought heād be better given his filmography.…
Ep 1 is a bit boring, but it gets better with every episode! Admittedly, I found LJW a little stiff during the first ep, KSJ felt a bit more Do Hana, the other characters just seemed obnoxious but I'm loving the characters now, especially the main leads. They definitely got their footing with more episodes out.
IT'S MONDAYYYY! (can't believe i'm saying this LOL) Only a few more hours until the new episode. Just need to be a corporate slave in between the waiting time.
After sitting with my thoughts for awhile, I will watch the drama just for the main leads interacting and being cute, but the plot leaves little for pondering. It feels too sparse and insubstantial, like it was written after the main leads' story was developed. The dialogues and scenes with the leads were written and depicted really really well, but the rest feels lacking. It reminds me of how I would write a fanfiction, my main focus would be on developing the romance and cutesy stuff my imagination can conjure, the plot and other characters would just be a setup for them to meet and fall in love. In this drama, the main leads drive the plot, rather than the plot driving them to be together (hence, there are some scenes where it feels like it's too convenient for a romantic gesture). It would be nice for a one shot, rather than a multi-chapter story (a movie would work well with this rather than a kdrama with multiple episodes). Nonetheless, I would watch it for the romance and amazing chemistry cause it does feel like a fanfiction with all the tropes I like!

This might just be my favorite Sejeong drama.

i love watching this as the start of my week, really sets the warm, cozy vibe to get me through
