No offemce but he is the one who really got sick because of Seo Yea Ji with prooven hospital documents. It took him a while to cure himslef and come back to his life and to acting. He is actually a good men that overcomed the freaking Korean Industry and is a super great actor. In all his previous dramas he was top notch. And here too since he won the top excelence award. What happened between him and Yea Ji is not our buisness. And it is unfair to judge a drama that is the work of an enire cast and crue based on someones private life.

You can watch the rest of them on Viki, Kokoa or free on Kisskh if you wish. Howvere I recommand skiping episodes 12 to 19 entirely. But about the money....they are they main chacarters in this drama. And the crosswalk couple has it preatty though because of them.

Exactely. She is very much exagerated. They did not used the money on bad purposes or to kill anybody. They should probably have to pay for the thefts and she sould have to pay for that tax evasion too. All she did the entire series was to shout and demand. The only moment in which I could side with her was when she got divorced to protect her son. But she has not changed at all and she is going to remian alone with that freaking stolen money. Plus Suji knowss everything and it looks like her mother too. They have cctv footage. At this point Ji Yeon will also be considered an acomplice for not telling the truth to a police officer and for hiding evidence....Gangju's messages. And she is just taking advantage of her position right now to get rid of everybody especially Da Rim. She turned out to be just another drama lama mother in low. Dissapointing. I am not expectig her to forgive them just because they kneeled in front of her and said sorry. I do not even expect her to understand them. But I wish she could look at her son and see how misserable he is. He knows how misserable she is and that is why he accepted to break up with Da Rim. She said to Seung Dong that she would have understood Bong Hwi if she had asked for money. But now looking back I am thinking....Bonghwi asked every single member of her family that she could think of, and her so called friend Seung Don and none of them wanted to help Da Rim. Not a single one. When your close family does not want to help you and tells you that you re daughter is better off blind how can you expect a stranger to lend you a fortune? And Ji Won would have not lend a dime. At least not from her heritence money. Meaby from the money her ex husband has worked on his entire life. He might have made that company on her father's money but he has kept that company alive for years not Ji Yeon. So she sould not have the right to demand Da Rim and Cha Rim to be unemployed. None of them is to blame for the thefts itself. Plus both of them worked hard to give her every dime back. She should actually be thankfull. Ah...poeple criticised her? She deserves it. She did do tax evaison out of greed and daddys orders. She took the money out to early which lead to her car driver seeing them and stealing them togheter with the feat loan shark that died after that. And she was stuoid enough to hire pricesly the loan sharks that were working under the fat men....excuse me but she is not a saint. Also demanding the entire family to leave the home and the buisness that they have run for over 40 years it delulu next level. If you do not want to see them moveb yourself. You did not care about your daddys house when you soled it to the leech of your husband. Or even better just turne all of them in. And this way they will go to pay for what they did as it should be. They are theifs but they have attenuant circumstancies. The only once that could get up to 5 yeras in prison are Bong Hwi and Gangju. The elders will be spared cause of age and Mu Rim will just loese his job because there is no proof that he helped hiding the money or giving evidemce to be destroyed. Bong Hwi could be accused to complicity to theft, theft by recurency and destroying evidence and obstructioning the justice. And so does Gang Ju except the recurency part because he was aware where the money were and was constantly helping to keep them away of the police. He could get a reduction due to the fact that he contributed to put the rest of the money back but it is up to the Coreean law which i do not know.

Also thse Halmonie and Haraboji really are something. They were not capable to educate their children. They were like leeches to Bonghwi yet she never once complained. Because of them taking the money Mu rim and Suji will not registrate their mariage, Da Rim and Gangju will end up more misserable then ever , Bong Hwi will be left alone with nothing cause now she has to move and loese the dr cleaners she wasted her life on and they have the face to leave a suicide note and try do drown themselfs? The audicity of those two....MY GOD. Do not do that and just try to find a way to solve ypur mess.

I have a hinch that halmonie and haraboji will be the ones actually saving the day at the end because they seem to have some special radar for idiotic loan sharks that try to steal money in a stupid way. But I don't know anymore....

I loved so much how Da Rim has grown up to be a more mature women. Unlike other telenovela female leads she imediately spotted Gangjus lies in his break up intention. Gangju was just so hopless....hoplesly in love with her. "I am not a good men, not the men for you....go find another that is better". "There is no one better in this world. I only care about you.", "But I am an idiot that cannot protect the women he loves" "No, you are not. You are the most carying person of the planet. You are trying to break up with me looking at me me love in your eyes." , "How can you be so cute?" "I love you Gangju"..."I love you too".

We waited so much for dialoges like that between of them. We suffered every single stupid character every single weekend hoping to finally see crosswalk couple happening.

Again....how did the writerim won the price for the best scenario? This is going straight to a big nowhere in the middle of the Han River. And it is such a pitty.

At this point idk twards who should I be more annoyd? The trio of theifs? Jiyeon? Suji's mother? Everybody? How comes that suddenly the most bearable chacarter is Seung Dong by simply doing nothing?

Well that is TRUE...like so true. Poor Bonghwi in this case...she was to ocupied to mantain the laudry shop, to walk from hospital to hospital woth halmonie and haraboji for their multiple camcers and then to try to care for Da Rim who was the less affortunate of the family. And yes poor children for not getting the proper attention from Bong Hwi. No wonders thay did not wanted to help her woth Da Rim.

She is not obligated to provide for them but as a human being she should show some empathy if she wants empathy back. If all she does is to scream and demand and pull tantrum how is anybody supposed to take her seriously? There is something wrong with her...she has a clear anxiety amd angre issue. The only secound when she was calm was when she had to comfront Gangju over his dad...oh yeah...calm ish. She did right to get divorced though.

He's buisness is preatty much fine. He fusioned it with Ji Seung so that he could pay the workers and Cha Rim for everything. His buisness is now like a side office to Jisung. As his father said they are going to be independent and Gangju will be given one production line to continue. Hyenas...eh meaby...they did not care untill he came back succesfully.

He did realised how much he hurt her. That is why he wanted to give her some space. In the given situation he did the best he could think of. Plus he put back all the money and his mother is going to have them back soon. Without having to pay a dime back. I agree that he should have not returned the money in the first place. Amd he should left them burried. But even if he did, they did spent somr the money, and Mu Rim's investigation was already too advanced. Like the loan shraks were already looking on the original spot. There is no way the things would have ended well eatherway.
He was not entrataining Da Rim's family. He was helping them out. They never considered him a part of the family beacuse they never knew him before...I agree Bong Hwi did not do the right thing on pushing Tae Woong in Gangju's place. But I disagree on the relationship being toxic. He seemd genuinly happy with them during the last episode. It does not wipe out everuthing they did to him but as you can see he does not hold a grudge on them.
IDK...at this point every point of view is somehow understandable. I get why some of you are pissed at Gangju thinking he is a traitor. But can you really blame him? He might have felt ashamed for what he did or he might have just wanted to give her some space. He hoped she never found out. I understand her frustration but threatening her own son to jail him along with the family was a bit to much. He geniunlyent no harm for anybody.

Actually she did not pull any tantrum. She just cryed like am idiot and Gamgju took the decision all by himself. And she was shoked that he helped. And he said that he prefered saving lifes with money.

I just realised Inhad to put the novel into spoiler thanks to you...grammar can wait untill tomorrow though.

It is ok. 😂 Trust me I pulled put that novel up there being almlst 2 am in my country. And is still full of mistakes because I am truly to tired to correct them now.

In a desperate situation you usually think on how to solve it and then on the consequemces. They will realize now that Da Rim will be a wreck after the breakup. They will start see how miserable everybody is. However the fact that Da Rim's eye surgery was under clock does not change. The fact that halmonie could have died out of cancer does not change...it was not a good thing but for them it was the right thing on the spot. The fact that Mu Rim's relation is affectid is partially his fault. He accepted to be constantly humiliated by his mother in low, he accelted to live with her insted of bringing Suji into his house. He decided to cover for his mother because he felt guilty for not being able to help Da Rim back then. Cha Rim is not going to be unemploed since Gamgju fusioned his company woth Jisung so that they wont go bankrupt. Da Rim and Cha Rim will both probably continue to worl for Jisung now. And Ji Yeon should be thankfull that all her money is back and that she did not have to pay a dime to the state.

Are you a parent in real life? Assuming that you are...how would you feel that your kid has a sickness that could potentially be treated if youbhad the money? How would you feel watching your kid every day strugling to have a normal life with his condition? I am not a parent but I still feel like it is hearbreaking.

Thoughts on episodes 31-32:
At this point I cannot even arrange my thoughts properly. I am heartbroken for Gangju.
I really am. After the kimchi box scene I though he was going to be fine. But now I hope everybody understood that Da Rim is not just "some gal"...its the women he loves. Why do you say he would be better of wothout her? Hello? Have I beem the only one really watching this drama? I get that she felt in love with him later in the story and that for some of you it felt like it was hurried. But has anyone seen how much has Gangju grown up during this whole series? He growned up to be independent, a succesful business men, a part of a real family as theifs as they mught have been. Has any of you thought that meaby...just meaby he was feeling guilty for what hapoened with Da Rim 8 years ago? Or for how he treated her right when they met? That family kind of make him grow up. He never hated them even though he knew that they stoled the money from his mother. Beacuse he knew they were desperate when they took the decision. He saw how miserable Da Rim was when she could not see any damn thing. He was there when she was desperatly buying and razeing loto tikets hoping she will raise the money. And when she cried in front of him.beacuse her brother and sister said she would be better of blind...he couln't do anything for hef back then because he had no money of his own, his mother lost 10 million dollars cause they were stoled by theifs and his dad lost 13 million dollars to cover up for her. He saw and understood their desperation. Her desperation mainly. He is not like one of those chanols that randomly pop out money from.his pocket. Insted his comes with ideas tonsave the day which might not be the best after all. He also saw haraboji almost dying beacuse of the money missing and all the family was devastated. He knew halmonie has cancer and needed money...his mother would have used that money for redecorating the house and live the sweet life anew...as she stated in episode 32. Gangju only thought about saving some lifes. He could not hate them for being rude to them beacause partially they were right. Yes they share the blame for the fire....halmonie was responsable of the inflamable substance but it was Gangju that playd with the lighter like a kid. Then ofc he saved their lifes...cause why would he let them burn in fire in fron of his eyes right?
Yes...they have stilen and deserve to pay somehow. But they are not some ruthless criminals. At least not for Gangju.

As for Gamgju's mother I get that some of you might call him a treator but remember that his original plan was to help both her and the family without anyone getting hurt. He never planned to let his mom down. It was yet another desperate situation. He lied to her explicitely for not breaking her heart. And because he knows her and how she will behave. I do not think he intended to leave her alone while being attacked by population...but knowing her he wanted to give her some space to cool of so that he can talk some sense into her.
I also get her frustration...she does not have a house, she is divorced, her ex husband is probably in love with the one that has stolen her money, her son in in love with the daughter of the one that stolled her money...she has all the right to be upset at Gangju. However she saw how geniunely happy he was with Da Rim. How genuinely happy he was inside that big family...why would she want her son to turn back to his pathetic old self? I can only hope that by seeing Gangju more misserable then ever she will start to finally see the world around her. Da Rim was blind and got an eye operation. Yet she never once asked her how she was doing at least out of courtesy. Halmonie had a cancer operation, haraboji had a heart attack, Shin was almost left without school, Mi Yeon was left without home...all the people arround her were living real sorrows yet she only cared about her missing money. I know it was not a little sum...bit she lost them out of her own stupidity. She did opened the safe earlyer for idk what and that was when her driver saw it and started to plan stealing them with the fat loan shark in the first place. Let me clear this out before you call me a hopless blind incurable romantic...I do not see her as a villan. But had she kept her money as she was told to NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Amd yes...she does not have to care about anybody outside her family...but still you cannot turn a blind eye on other peoples sorrows just beacause they are poor and insignificant.
She never in this entire story has listened to anybody. All she did was to shout and to demand. And that is a fact. She did not evan care that her husband was cleary not in love with her anymore and used Gangju to keep his daddy home as much as he could. That is why Gangju was not able to break apart from his daddy an mature earlyer. He was constantly under the pressure that his parents would dicorce and he said countless times that he want to keep daddy beacuse he knows his mommy loves him. And not the other way around.

The point is that in this story everybody's moral and actions are questionable. They have done some bad actions each of them. They should all redeem themselfs instead of making a crying pillow out of Gangju. Yes Iron Family feels guilty twords him. Amd thankfull even though they have not expressed that in words yet. They should really apologise each. In fact they kind of did when they bowed in front of him this episode. Yes Ji Yeon was a good mother to Gangju and has all the reason to feel betraeyd. But she needs to open her eyes to the world and ask herself WHY would Gangju take those actions? WHY would Gangju help Da Rim to the point of hurting her instead? Why does she belive that Da Rim.is just a tantrum of his? In fact I remember at the beginning she used to read Gangju works as a scenarist and she even said all his storys so pure and from his heart. She could read his heart back then but not anymore? I mean your son was willing to become a complice to a theft, to take all the blame and to even cut ties with them...and you do not ask yoursel WHY? "Meaby my son really loves her"? Tipical suegra de telenovela behavior. She will come around in the end when she will look back and she will realise what an amazing person his son has become in the name of love.
At the end of the day they are all good tonsome extent and bad to some orher.
I do not want to consider Ju Yeon a villan for real. I try to get her and to see from her side. My heart really breaks for Gangju. The panick attack and the heart break he has in the end of the episode were really eye tearing. Unlike other ML in other dramas he really tried to the best for all. He did not managed and now his fight is over. Now its the time for the others fighting for Kangju. Da Rim needs to grow up now and fight back. She is not to blame for the fact that the others took the money. She was willing to remain blind so that her family's life will not be ruined. They decided for her. Now it is time for her to grow a personality FAST. Her family needs to offer sincere apologies not just to Gangju but to his mother too. I am more then sure that if Bong Hwi explains everything to Ji Yeon she will understand as a mother...I mean I hope so. Bong Hwi has to make up for deliberatly trying to place Taewoong in Gangju's place. Taewoong and his father need to start apreciating Gangju for what he really is and not just beacause he had succes in buisness.

And I hope that now that Gangju fusioned his company with Jisung he will start to look for he real dream and continue to write.
I have a hinch that his next winning scenario will be "Darim's family". 😅
Perhaps a little bit of time apart from.everyone will be good both for him.and for them.

But he deserves to end up with the one he loves. And we like it or not...it is Lee Da Rim.

He is not selling the buisness he is fusioning it because he is almost bankrupt after returning the money to his mother.

But Da Rim's family are no hardened criminals eather. They were just desperate. But they did not kill anybody did they? They were stupid and clueless about who that money belonged too and yeah they behaved like trash twards Gangju but they are not hardened criminals. Amd they are not the first or the last persons to still money out of desperation. Do not get me wrong...I am not sideing with them and they should defenetly pay somehow for what they did. But I am on Gangju's side on this one...he really deserves to be happy and he cannot for some stupid money that blindeed everybody around him. I am also not blaming Ji Yeon for the tax evasion. She is also not the first and not the last to do so. And she does not know for sure if that money are illegal or not just like the family did not knew if that money really belonged to everybody or not.
I agree that money does not give any of them the right to behave like crap twards others. And that goes for everyone. But at this point half of the cast should be behind bars for some resaon or the other....and it is just sad.

There were dramas with more potential but the attention felt on the long ones. I have not watched Beauty and Mr Romantic...yet but Iron Family was not that bad. It is a black comedy so it is not supposed to make sense so this ness served its purpose. I do not regret watching it. I really liked the acting. But If I were the writer I would have changed a couple things here and there. To begin with I would completely remove the Tae Woong era as it was really unessesary and a waste of time. Then I would give Taewoong a personality and a real purpose in this drama. I would silence more the trio of theifs cause I have had enough with the smirk on their faces every time, and I would have focused a little bit more on romance. None of the couples in this drama has been given a proper romantic developement. They compete with eachoter in the category who was more cringe at this point. Well I do not dislike Da Rim and Gangju as I have seen way worst In my soap opra watching experience. Trust me when I say that. Ah...I would stop Da Rim from crying and give her some more apropriate to the situation lines to say...

From the shorter series I have only watched Dare to love me and Perfect Family both for Myung Soo. They really had potential but Perfect Family was too much creepy to less perfect and Dare To Love Me was a good comedy to watch but it had me trying twice beacuse it was so...slow speed.

I heared about Black Out: Snow White's revange but have not watched it yet. That seems to have been pretty good.

And very interesting...even though Iron Family and Beauty won the most prises still non of them got the drama of the year and the award was redirected to other 2 dramas that I have never heared of...
Iron Family has the best scenario but is not the best drama? Srrange...it sound contradictory but for us the watchers it is understandable.

The image was hilarious🤣. The 2 madams were dreesed super rich desperate housewisves and he was dreesed in a tuxido but with his hair super massy and they were bouth clinched on him.

It was not just them...there were 4 couples that won the award. But two of them from.Iron Family. Da Rim.and Gangju also won. A little bit more justified.
And I agree with you...couple should mean 2...and perhaps he won 2 prices with both of them. 😂 I just looked at wikipedia for a seclund source to confirm but there they also appear as a trio.

And you are not going to belive what happend.IRON FAMILY has collected 9 AWARDS. 3 of them Geum Sae Rok...it looks like the Koreans really loved Da Rim's character. She took home Popularity Award (alogside Kim Myung Soo...not part of this drama but one of my favorites). She also took EXCELENCE AWARD for a long series along Shin Hyun Joon the actor that plays Seung Dong. And I do not know HOW on earth...but BEST COUPLE with Kim Jung Hyun. But here is the catch...there was a quadruple equality in this category. And it was a doubke win for Iron Family. Wanna know who is the other couple from Iron Family who took the price? First seat down before you drop of your feets...again Shin Hyun Joon...Seungdon with BOTH his parteners Park Ji Young(BongHwi DaRim's mother and Kim Hae Eun (Ji Yeon Kangju's mother) as A TRIO. 🤣🤣🤣 As a fuking TRIO. What the heck happend here? Plot is twisting guys...
Next...Kim Jung Hyun did not win the desang evan though he was nominated but...he won TOP EXCELENCE ACTOR alongside Park Ji Yoong. And ofc...if Sungdong and Gangju were praised as characters the trio would have not been complete without Taewoong...cause yeah...Choi Tae Joon took home Best Suporting Character. I think everybody agrees with me on this one...Cha Rim should have taken this award since she was more involved in the story then Taewoong. Or Halmonie amd haraboji. But who am I to contradict the almigty Koreans right? Anyway congrats to him as an actor. If he pissed us out way too much was also beacause he must have done something right after all. He is a good actor but Tae Woong was not a productive character for him as an actor. Tae Joon has way more potential. Poor writing are you going to say?Well guess again because uri writernim also took the award for best script writer. Well it must have been very difficult writing so manny diferent tipes of characters suffering from cronical stupity and then cure them and gave them a personality. Even a hatefull personality. That being said, congrats to the cast and crew!!🥳🥳🥳 And I really want to hear your thoughs on this spectacular and unbelievebke result.
