yes, totally called for and very satisfying. That's what most of us would like to see in superhero movies and have batman or spiderman actually punish the vilain. Somehow, in western politically correct movies, the vilain ends up dead by mistake, never by direct action. In most cases, the hero even tries to save him last minute. And that's the reason why The Equalizer had so much success.
so what did she decide in the end? I didn't get it. Is she staying or not? I hope they do a follow up series.. that would be awesome. I really love that one.
I loved how this movie started, almost like an urban chinese drama. Nothing forced or overly exaggerated, no unjustified violence and instances of unbearable abuse, the plot made sense, the writing was subtle. After ep10, it quicky fell back into the korean drama template. The usual sacrificial obedience that depicts children as martyrs, enduring hardships or complying with unreasonable demands—a notable staple of corean dramas.

However, the writers failed to treat this as a genuine "defining moment." Jin A never truly grappled with the magnitude of her choice, nor did she reflect on its implications. Even three years later, when Jun Hui returned to find her struggling and unfulfilled, she showed no signs of regret or self-awareness. Consequently, the happy ending, with Jun Hui choosing to stay and continue pursuing Jin A, feels unearned and lacks emotional coherence.
anybody knows when ep.40 will be available on YOUKU? If he dies I think I'm done with chinese dramas, especially right after Kill me, Love me. So much time invested for a SE would be a major set back
