because it doesn't fit the over the top, cliché collection commercial script people are addicted to. They actually worked on the script here lol I personally hope to see more series like this with real acting and a real budget... enormous production on this one.. Amazing actors...

The exaggerated manga acting, especially by the gender ambiguous Ijuin character... hard to watch. I'm trying hard to push forward... but it just looks more ridiculous by the minute.

I watched spiderman, there were some grave gravity related mistakes...

Mindblowing beginning... Enormous production. Although Kdramas made for retards will always have the main market share, I hope this creates a new standard in the industry and offers a lucrative alternative for producers.

Don't expect some kind of Grey's Anatomy here, take it more like science fiction. She's going to solve cases that are flat out impossible.

The original was written more like a comics. A doctor that aquired a vast amount of knowledge through practice in extreme situations all over the globe with an exceptional mentorship and one single commitment: saving lives. She's up against the corruption taking place in medical institutions. If they stick to the original, it will get repetitive and she will be saving the day every time.

The repetitive aspect of the script didn't prevent the original from becoming a huge success. The FL was pretty magnetic, people couldn't get enough of her. I beleive KJW could have been the korean counterpart but the writers took her charater to another place entirely.

The sexy side of the original character would have probably been an issue on the korean market. On top of that, Kdramas aim at a wide international audience. A large part of that audience has dressing modesty rules. But more generaly speaking, the image of that totally uninhibited, liberated woman that was portayed originally, would not have been well received in most part of the world today. I beleive these were the motivations behind the total transformation of the original character.

imo, the mix and match they did with her character is not very successful. We'll see where this is going. If it's entertaining, so be it. Commercially, it's already a success. Ppl love whatever kdrama you throw at them...

nowhere near the Trauma Code, if they stick to the original, it's pretty much a one size fits all template for all episodes. It didn't matter so much in the jp version because the FL was such an attraction. Here, they totally sabotaged her personality, so there not much left...

They can't call that a remake, they made up a totally different character! They just kept a few of her mantras, carricatured her love for food and that's it. That just doesn't work. The liberated, independant, strong, feminine, childish, sexy, charming character.... all of it gone.

That is not true at all, they woudn't do remakes if that was the case. Not sure where you take these rules from but actually, there's a lot to improve on the original and I was looking foward to it. But what made the original so successful was the Michiko Daimon charater and the charisma of Yonekura Ryoko. If you're gonna make a remake where the charater is James Bond like, you can't miss and the first thing you should focus on is casting the lead to someone as charismatic. They didn't try to recreate that very feminine, powerful, independant, likable charater, they just threw it away. As Bill Drew just said, the FL looks like a non binary 😂

cmon now, she comes in dressed up for the Matrix in Doc Martens... definitely not Daimon Sense flying on high heels. 15mn in and already lost the taste for it. I really miss Yonekura Ryoko...

the level of hypocrizy behind the smiles these well spoken ppl is unprecedented and so unsettling. Well acted really, but I need frequent pauses to digest as I really get nauseous watching this. The atmosphere is really dark.

she was not worth chasing that much. Noone is worth chasing that much. She dumped him so many times, keeps on saying "no", even blocked the guy and he keeps acting all romantic. The author must be a woman with a delusional perception of what love really is.

her mom is such a curse. I have violent images in my mind whenever I look at her... Jason Voorhees like thoughts... AND WHY does she let an employee that she feeds, be more disrespectful than her own mother?? is this her version of kindness? dull charater honestly... I can't find any enjoyment in this series.

started all fresh and nice and very fast turned into the usual evil conspiracy frenzies, the usual caricatures... nothing new or surprising again. Kdramas today or the art of turning a good concept into a collection of cliches..

I'm talking "well written" character, not perfect or nice. There was 0 ground for her to maintain for more than 10 episodes, against all logic, that that he had a girlfriend. It's called lazy writing or commercial korean shortcut writing and the plot stops making sense. We could talk about her reaction getting all dizzy when remembering the bed kiss as if she was abused (that leads to another few ungrounded episodes) and many other ridiculous plot turns that didn't make any sense. Lousy screenplay that's all. Nothing to do with her incarnating FL ideals or not.

this Qian Fei character is badly written. Very hard to like till the end. I love Wang Chu Ran, she should have refused that role. ppl that can't write or develop a decent lead character should be turned down... I hope this is just a mistake in her route... I left korean dramas because of the easy, silly one fits all script templates and recepies... looks like they made their way into cdramas somehow...

idk... I watched it. I think the OST saved it especially that Liu Yuning tune that was amazing...
Overall, a bit childish at times but watchable. The end was mega dragged though, I FFed through most of it...

the leads are really tiring. Some kinds of caricatures of the serious responsible husband vs the all good forgiving wife....Bad acting, 0 depth of charater, 0 chemistry. ep25.. not sure if I have the strength to go on..
