For now no, don't know what will happen in the future. The SFL can be annoying sometimes, but not because she likes the ML — it’s more because of her one-sided love for SML. As for SML, he does have feelings for the FL, but things are complicated at the moment. I don’t want to spoil too much, but I think you should give it a try — it’s a really good drama!

I believe the Empress already knew about Yi Xiao’s connection with Jing Shi. She probably thinks that as long as Yi Xiao is alive, the marriage between that bratty princess and Jing Shi won’t work out, so she wants to eliminate Yi Xiao for her own gain — while making it look like she’s just doing it for the princess. OR maybe the Empress and her father have some secret dealings with Jinxiu, and Yi Xiao knows too much about it. Honestly, it feels like Jing Shi, his Emperor brother, the Empress and her father, and maybe even Murong Yao with her father are all secretly in cahoots, planning something much bigger behind the scenes. I also believe the Empress and her father were the ones behind the Former Empress’s death. I feel like there’s a lot more hidden in that story than what we’ve been told so far.

Just watched the preview for ep 11 and 12, and oh god, I really feel bad for both Yi Xiao and Sui Ge. Both of them are suffering because of the people closest to them. On one hand, Sui Ge’s so-called spoiled sister is criticizing him over her one-sided love, and on the other hand, Yi Xiao’s own people are trying to kill her. It’s heartbreaking — they’re both being betrayed by those who should love and protect them. And that bratty princess is honestly so annoying. I don’t know what she thinks of herself, but her stubbornness and poor decisions will only make her suffer in the enemy kingdom, especially since she refuses to listen to her elder brother who actually cares for her deeply. Episode 12 feels like we’ll once again see Yi Xiao getting wounded — at the hands of the very people she trusts the most.
