Ahhh… I think 2ML in Flourished Peony / In the Name of Blossom is hard to beat. That was a masterful performance…
The problem with FP/ItNoB is they made two seasons (30+24 episodes) instead of one 40-episode seasons. So a lot of people were frustrated by the second season where writers kept coming up with ridiculous ways to keep the leads apart. Like you can start on Ep. 16 (of 24) and be basically okay.
I started to watch the show, any idea why it started with 2011 year? Will there be time jump?
In the novel events of book 2 take place over a span of 10 years so there may be some small jumps. Plus, this shows development of Chinese solar energy industry (China now makes 80-90% of solar panels and components).
i've never seen so many ppl hated SML so much, 😂 this red flag character might be right there with the SML…

What's the background of the FL? i'm confused... she looks rich and also poor at the same time...
Her family is “new money” who became wealthy while FL was a kid (unlike ML who is “old money”). Her family’s company owns 49% of the solar panel plant that she’s working at (she didn’t know about that when she applied for a job there). ML calls her his future boss because eventually FL will inherit her family’s company whereas ML is not in line to inherit his grandfather’s company (which owns remaining 51% of the plant) because that grandfather is on his mother’s side. Also, no one at FL’s job knows her true background (other than ML) because she’s not flaunting it. She’s trying to earn everything without involving connections:)
It was hilarious to see 2FL try to flaunt her connections while ML is a blood relative of her company’s owner…
It seems like she was trying to point out that ML got exiled from HQ to a factory and that FL also ended up at a factory in a small instead of a fancy job at Shanghai. Of course, she had no idea that both ML & FL specifically CHOSE to come to that place — it was definitely NOT because they lacked other options 😁
FL wanting to go back to get more outfits was hilarious 😆
Correct, in the long run FL might be more wealthy than ML (once she inherits the company), but I was just trying to mention that ML probably had a privileged upbringing because he’s “old money” whereas FL’s family is “new money” so she may have had a more normal upbringing.

To be fair, her family only became wealthy later on so she did experience a normal upbringing. It’s the ML whose family is even more rich and has been rich for a long time (his grandfather runs the main huge company).
