MDL tags aren’t reliable. There’s no chronic illness. ML’s parents are deceased though. Don’t think FL’s mom will die (her dad is deceased too)

ML is 3 years younger than FL in the drama. It seems like he’s going to develop feelings first. In the novel version (which is different from drama’s plot), readers mentioned their love wasn’t looked at favorably by the society but who knows what will happen in the drama. I’d guess revenge/conspiracy plot is more important to the drama and writers may give our couple a pass 😁

Seems like there may be campaign to downvote this drama (supposedly, both leads have their share of antis on MDL). Even if you read the few reviews, you will see it’s all nonsense. The drama has been pretty solid through 9 episodes.

The Princess Royal is probably the closest we could get to this but don’t tell the censors 🫣

A bit confused — FL in the drama isn’t a commoner, she’s part of a renowned military family. I didn’t read the novel, but her motivations are pretty clear to me 🤷‍♂️

Another review that makes no sense and is full of factual errors. To beginf withh, FL didn’t lose to ML (how? where?) and it was obviously much easier to become a widow of ML’s older brother because FL+brother were a couple as far as everyone was concerned.

Sigh. Trying to answer questions in comments the best I can. This reminds me of Moonlit Reunion which got hit hard by haters and dropped below 8 (up to 8.2 now thankfully). Antis need to get a life 🙄

Okay, do we know who is organizing the downvoting campaign? This drama is most definitely not 7.6. It started as 8.1-8.2 here but has gone down to 7.9 and now 7.6 even though the show has been quite good so far and there were no weird/disappointing episodes that would have made rankings go down.

All jokes aside, she’s being doing dramas for a long time and is pretty good here so far. You just have to have the right expectations — this is a revenge drama (for both ML & FL) where leads slowly develop feelings for each other. It’s not dramas like “When Destiny Brings the Demon” or “Love in the Cloud” where leads have crazy chemistry almost from the start.

Victoria Song has been a lead in a lot of C-dramas. Similalry, Krystal Jung has been in many K-dramas but not always as a lead.

In the book her character is supposed to be pretty good and helpful to the FL. But who knows how they will change things in the drama.
