They made good progress in Episode 7 :)

Based on the latest episode, uncle is not just a literal killer, he’s committing huge fraud that endangers the company. It’s one thing to skim some money but he’s wasting/stelaing a lot of money on a U.S. plant (which may or may not be real) using promise of future orders from hotel chain (definitely not real because the other guy don’t work for hotel chain anymore). They mentioned company taking on debt to do this — probably going to play a large part later on when ML will have to find a way to rescue the company from going under.

P.S. It’s hilarious that the Uncle said they are building employee dorms in the Texas plant. Definitely doesn’t happen here 😆

in real world — yes, probably best to take a break after what happened. In drama world — no, because it’s FATE! 😁🤣😉

This is drama is purposefully built from cliches & tropes (like LEGO bricks), so I guarantee that 2FL and 2ML will end up together 😉

And be responsible for FL’s dad’s death too.

ML probably paid someone to bring fake rain machines to the house — he so wanted an excuse to stay over 😁🤣😉

I honestly feel that this drama is writers purposefully trying to have as many tropes/cliches as possible. So it’s fitting to have “kid being blamed for death of parents” trope. It’s annoying but — like another poster said — at this point I’m almost immune to it 😳🙄🥺

Yeah, but it’s pretty standard (and kind of realistic) that some screeen time needs to be spent addressing their unequal status. So we should expect a bit of happy time then some family drama time/breakup then them getting back together. Plus they have to save the company and punish the bad people too.

Hey, at least 2FL told ML about it, so it didn’t drag things out.

2FL is going to be a good character, I believe.

We can only deduce that they went home to drop off the dog, FL changed and then came out to the field.

Props to 2FL for coming clean to ML. This is the benefit of shorter 12-episode dramas — there’s less need to drag things out.

Novel is different from the show, so we don’t know exactly what will carry over. In the show, there’s romance between the leads eventually (based on previews). In episodes released so far, FL claims to be betrothed to ML’s dead brother and takes on a role of a grieving widow which makes ML very suspicious of her. But — as so many dramas go — we expect them to bond over shared revenge and develop feelings for each other.

It was very heartbreaking 💔 My only wish is for their demise to be slightly more surprising. Even the young ML knew there was a chance it was a trap. And you’d thought dad + 6 brothers could’ve found a way to avoid this despite Crown Prince commanding them… sigh, I know this was needed for the plot but still. Oh, and screw the Crown Prince 😡

I think the Emperor probably knows the Prince lied, but it’s not a good look to blame the Prince

I know this is needed for the plot, but let’s be honest — the generals should have known better than to fall into the obvious trap even though the Crown Prince was commanding them 😳
