Eat Run Love (modern drama) was not good. It tried to be like L&P but the script was worse. The cast was good but I’d not recommend it.

Yes, Chinese platforms are experts at extracting money! But if you don’t spend a lot of time in the comments, SVIP and Express Package can be skipped, especially Express Package for the last few episodes.

Yes, everything was filmed together (S1 and S2 is just how commenters usually refer to them ☺️). And, yes, a single 40-episode season may have been better. Let’s hope the cast got paid double (or, at least, per episode) 😁

For YOUKU you can purchase “TVOD” access for a specific drama which is similar to SVIP tier at other services — it gives you access to 1 episode in advance (compared to VIP members). That SVIP access lasts for the duration of that drama. However, “Express Package” for the last 4 (or so) ending episodes is a separate purchase (it doesn’t require SVIP though). P.S. SVIP/TVOD sometimes gives access to exclusive BTS content too.

I was okay with the cast, but feel like they should’ve just made one 40-episode long season by skipping most events of Season 2 until Episode 16. And writers weren’t very creative in Season 2 — they used very tired tropes (like misunderstanding about the pin). Actors did their best and tried to make it better.

Majority people find S1 slightly better than S2. The second season is not bad, but it does feel like screenwriters are purposefully dragging things along and making up reasons for the leads to not be together. That disappointed fans who were expecting things to be better between the leads.

It’s a great watch if you aren’t looking for any romance :)
