Ep 22 - advert of tummy medicine company.Everybody had bad stomach Gong, HX and Pei.. all used same medicine box.…
This is honestly less intrusive than the cold medicine (green box from same brand 999). Peolle would drink that cold medicine at any sign of a potential cold or flu. For example, if a character opened a freezer door to get some ice cream, they would drink a gallon of 999 to prevent dying from the flu 🤧 🤣
Well at least this isnt the met you while we were kids and like each other trope.
There was a K-drama recently where girl FL gave a boy ML a plushie after a car accident. A nice twist on a childhood connection was done in another K-drama where the couple got married without realizing they intersected as kids :)
Y cant he said directly to his mom that he has girlfriend no need of blind date
He was trying to avoid a relationship with her (and now to keep it hidden) because she instantly becomes his weak point and a potential target for bad people.
This has introduced a trope I hate. I want the ML to actually put romance to the side and actually focus on revenge…
I really like this drama but I also agree that this trope is a bit annoying. We will also inevitably will get a separation/drama once her family finds out about his dad, etc.
Am I the only one disappointed by the 2FL divorce? maybe it’s because I come from a family greatly impacted…
I think what the drama tried to show (not sure if it’s successful or not) that the couple kind of drifted apart as the husband was busy with work, stopped involving 2FL in decisions, and didn’t keep her on top of his mind overall (like the incident with him forgetting their 2nd wedding anniversary). And since they were a relatively new couple, had no kid(s) or other obligations, it was better to go their separate ways than to endure this longer. Not saying this is right or wrong, but that’s what the drama tried to show

I’m kidding, of course. But, in a grand scheme of things, childhood connection is a harmless trope in my eyes. It was less annoying than “having controlling parent(s)”, “breakup due to a misunderstanding”, “breakup for no good reason”, “binge drinking”, or countless others 😬
Super happy for the drama team but is this really a surprise? The is drama based on a novel by a talented writer…
I see your point :) As an outsider, if a drama is based on a good novel (or has good screenwriter) and has a good cast, my expectation is that it should be good. So that’s why I wasn’t surprised here :)

Haters! 😳
I haven’t watched every single C-drama in 2025 but my hidden gems are The Best Thing (knew nothing about it beforehand) and When Destiny Brings the Demon (sizzling chemistry and censors who clearly fell asleep during review process, lol). Mobius was also a bit of a dark horse but not sure it can be called a surprise :)
The same writer also wrote “You Are My Glory” and you can view 2ML here as an alternate-universe version of ML in YAMG. Both of them rejected FLs in their youths, both had feelings of inadequacy, but one of them was able to deal with it & got the glory (🥰) while other one did not
P.S. FL’s senior will probably date ML’s friend since he ended up drinking in a bar with that girl’s brother.
