Tbh in the novel both person are play girl and a play boy. But in the book nanfeng started catching feelings and gifted Lao Yan smth and he immediately gave it to a woman, nanfeng saw it and caught him lying. Idk what happened if they remained friends or she gave him a second chance. (Lao yan was thick headed and still didn't understand why nanfeng was mad at him. He only felt regret when nanfeng decided to drop his ass.)
