That is what is so annoying. A lot of money was spent (about £185k per episode) but the ZNN vanity project was not entertaining to watch.
Im watching Khemjira (same company) and im engaged.
Its sad because for that money they could have spent money producing 5 other shows like Khemjira.

Its unbelievable that this tv series has got so much interest and views (nearing 7k) considering the low score and the plot issues. It has certainly engaged viewers and entertained despite plot issues.
I hope the actors get a satisfactory legal resolution. I dont have a problem with toxic plots and toxic characters in fiction, but toxic in reality is a diff story = and workplaces and companies that exploit and dont pay their actors - that I have a problem with.

Im pleasantly impressed and cant believe this is the same company that produced TNP. I feel the story, script and acting is of a better standard. The series engages - and I want to know more even if horror is genre i dont like. But I like this.

All the couples are cute and serve visuals - but Keng stands out.

PS I wonder how much the budget was per episode for this series. It looks high end for a bl series. For reference TNP was very roughly £185k (converted )

Its funny how we project and want to involve feelings and get a happy ending - despite it being a transactional arrangement .

To me - the nc scenes felt very clinical - like watching a video on performing physical therapy exercises. I did not find it erotic. It felt that they were going through the motions - while working through the dictionary of sexual positions.
I gave it a 7.5 because I appreciate that they are doing something different from the typical fluff. ButI dont find it as cerebral (as stated by another reviewer AnonymousMiscellaneous)

I too felt that the lesson plan was incomplete.

Also with the threesome there are so many combinations and they may require separate lessons - vers, tops, bottoms, bi. And what happens if there is a girlfriend - or is that too perverted?
Anyway Im diligent and patient and willing to sit through all the lessons.

I think women should also get lessons - its so unfair that its only the boyfriends responsibility to improve his skills.

About the term queer: Most gay men don't identify with the term queer (as its being used as an umbrella term) because they view themselves as male(no confusion about gender identity), and their preference is men.
That is my understanding of why they mainly dont like /identify with the term.
They are not interested in transmen or transwoman

I watched the episodes in about 5 minutes - skipping through most and stopping to watch the supporting couples.

Im glad you are more informed - my intention wasn't to put people off watching the series but to make them aware of the controversy and issues involved. Even just out of interest sake.

The hypocrisy of this particular industry does annoy me more because they are supporting and fighting for certain minority rights (LGBTQ) rights but are perpetuating discrimination against ethnic Thais (who are largely darker toned ). Its like a Jewish person screaming antisemitism but supporting the genocide of Palestinians.

This Thai series has taken something of value to the Thai fans and gone against those principles. But its not just Thai industry - look at Korea and Chinese dramas. Those actors there are more white than the actors in western media.

True the Japanese do miscommunications exceptionally well - but they do tend to kiss or have nc scenes. ("My Personal Weatherman had kissing, cant remember details of the other one).

I dont expect to see Koreans produce Dangerous Drugs of Sex or the Pornographer . The korean bl dramas are the most conservative.

I strongly suspect that the Koreans use miscommunication and misunderstandings as a major plot device / trope to actually avoid having to let the actors kiss (I mean lips touching).

That is why this one surprised me.

I rated this a 9.5 because it was so educational. It could have got a higher score but i felt that the lesson plan was incomplete. There is so much more that needs to be covered.

Anyway this has so much more potential to be developed into a whole series - I mean not just about the nc scenes but the story and motivations of the characters. I would watch it even if there were no more nc scenes.

Im tired of fluff - i want to see complicated and toxic characters, good plots, and nc scenes without music in the background. There should be more grown up (not porn)bl genre.

I loved this and as a fangirl I wish there was more stuff like this ie "pure and raw without fluff."
Also this has potential to be expanded into proper series. I can only wish.

Koreans bls have perfected bl series centred around miscommunications - cleared in last few minutes so they can dodge having to kiss.
