The first ML is so boring. The FL clearly lost feelings for him and her heart fluttered during the date with the SML. She clearly rejected the ML, saying it was too late. But then he pulled the dead father card and she kissed him out of emotional vulnerability. It’s not like the SML is the best-written character ever but he was better than the ML

I'm guessing you've completed the whole drama and you're only considering him to be abusive because of some parallels, which means they didn't show him to be abusive in the first place. It's not about him,he's not good either. It's about her, who, instead of breaking up, found another man first. She would have been single for at least a few days if she were actually traumatized by his actions.I'll never root for someone like her
